Livingston v Heart of Midlothian (19:45)

Livingston have surprised many this season after their promotion through the play-offs after finishing Championship runners-up.

They sit seventh in the Premiership and that is thanks largely to their home form.

The Tony Macaroni Arena may at times appear to have fewer paying customers than the sponsors' restaurants, but is not so welcoming to visiting sides.

Indeed, only leaders Celtic have taken more points than Livingston on their own patch this season in the top flight.

Gary Holt's side are unbeaten at home in three games - including a draw against Brendan Rodgers' champions - and tonight are seeking a third consecutive win.

  3. Hearts Berra with captain 200published at 19:13 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2018

Livingston v Heart of Midlothian (19:45)

Christophe Berra's importance to Hearts has been highlighted by the fact the captain's earlier-than-expected return from injury has been followed by a draw away to in-form St Johnstone and a win over Motherwell that ended that eight-game run without a win.

The Scotland centre-half will be making his 200th Hearts appearance tonight but insists he has "many years ahead" of him despite having turned 33.

  5. Have Hearts arrested decline?published at 19:06 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2018

Livingston v Heart of Midlothian (19:45)

It wasn't long ago that Hearts had a five-point lead at the top of the Premiership and people were beginning to talk about them as title challengers.

Since then, Rangers and Kilmarnock have both had similar fleeting moments at the top of the tree only for Celtic to establish control once more before Christmas.

Hampered by injuries to key players like captain Christophe Berra, fellow Scotland centre-half John Souttar and strikers Uche Ikpeazu and Steven Naismith, Hearts' form nosedived to such an extent that their eight-game run without a win only ended last weekend with a narrow win at home to a Motherwell side in similar decline.

The talk at Tynecastle this week has been about looking up the league again, but the Tony Macaroni Stadium has not been a happy hunting ground for many sides this season.

  6. Hearts have lofty ambitionspublished at 19:01 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2018

Livingston v Heart of Midlothian (19:45)

Following the thrills and spills of the Old Firm's Europa League adventures last night, it's back to domestic business at the Tony Macaroni Arena.

Hearts make the short journey down the M8 to face Livingston and could join Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership with a victory.

But their Lothian rivals would move up fifth, two points behind Craig Levein's side, should they secure a win.
