Andrew O'Brien: I think anonymous text at 21:15 may have calculated traveling time to Newport on the Isle of Wight. Newport Town is around a three hour 15 minute drive from Middlesbrough. That shorter drive time won't cheer up their fans if the score remains the same of course.

FIVE minutes left, a bit longer at Wolves who were late kicking off.

As it stands we have no extra time on the cards and a very nice upset on the cards indeed...

    Wolves 3-2 Shrewsbury

    BBC local radio

BBC Radio Shropshire summariser Mark Elliott is tempting fate:

“The longer this goes on with only one goal in it, the more Shrewsbury have the chance to make Wolves feel nervous”.

Joao Moutinho has come on to replace Helder Costa and it looks like Wolves will go back to the formation they play in the Premier League with an extra man in midfield.

Anonymous: As abject a display this is for a Boro supporter, I really don't want us in this competition and certainly not playing extra time or suffering any more injuries before Leeds on Saturday.

James Ballantyne: Boro; avoiding getting embarrassed by Man City twice this season by being embarrassed and outplayed by lower opposition twice.

    Barnet in with a sniff.

    Newport 2-0 Middlesbrough

    Michael Brown
Ex-Fulham and Spurs midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live

2-0 doesn’t flatter Newport, Middlesbrough have been very poor. This doesn’t set a good tone ahead of their game against Leeds on Saturday. Tony Pulis will want a response.

Anonymous: By my rough calculation, driving to Newport from Middlesbrough meant leaving at around midday and getting home around 4am tomorrow morning. Surely the only Boro fans who made the journey to Newport were the 'haven't missed a game in 20 years' brigade? Fair play to them though.
