    Motherwell v Ross County (15:00)

    Martin Dowden
BBC Sport Scotland at Fir Park

An intruiging contest awaits with most focus on the return of Ross McCormack straight into Motherwell’s starting XI on loan from Aston Villa with many tipping him as the signing of the window so far.

Manager Stephen Robinson is certainly excited about that and fellow loanee Gboly Ariyibi who also features.

For Ross County, they lead the Championship table but have suffered back to back defeats - 4-0 against Queen of the south last weekend

Four changes to that side with co-boss Stuart Kettlewell insisting they see this competition as being of prime importance given their success in cup competition in recent years and what that’s done for the club.

A host of players with Premiership experience in their ranks - this doesn’t appear to be a mere formality for the home side.
