  2. 'Not a foregone conclusion'published at 17:20 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January 2019

    Millwall v Everton (17:30 GMT)

    Andy Townsend
Ex-Chelsea midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live

Marco Silva has got some very good players. The nature of the way he plays, he’s brave and wants his team to have a real go, but I don’t see enough substance there when things start to go in the opposite direction. Sometimes it can be very difficult.

The surface at the New Den might not be as sweet as it should be, and that is part and parcel of FA Cup football, you make life difficult for them on and off the pitch. That game is not a foregone conclusion at all. If Millwall were entertaining Everton when Everton were flying it would a different ball game, but there is a vulnerability about them and Millwall can capitalise.

  3. 'I believe in all the squad'published at 17:18 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January 2019

    Newcastle 0-2 Watford

Watford manager Javi GraciaImage source, Reuters

Watford boss Javi Gracia to BBC Sport: "The most important thing is the confidence I have in all my players. I know them, they deserve to play and when they do it they show what they are able to do.

"We had the control, playing away is not easy and with the support of our fans we have had a good performance.

On his first anniversary in charge of Watford earlier this week: "I’m very happy here after my first year but for me the most important thing is to send our supporters home happy today."

On making 11 changes: "I believe in all the squad and it’s not only words, you have to show it. And today the players showed it, they are working very hard in training and it means in games like today they are able to play at the level they have."

  4. 'Everyone was so professional'published at 17:17 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January 2019

    Manchester City 5-0 Burnley

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola: "I'm delighted to have won the game, we have a lot of games in our life, and everyone was so professional and so focused.

"There is a desire to play good and always improve. Everybody wants to play and you have to play good when they do because the others are at a high level. It is our eighth victory in a row in this month and of course we have scored a lot of goals. Everyone wants to help the team but there is always something to improve - today they (Burnley) had one or two chances which we gave them.

"The important thing is we create more and concede fewer and in every game we try to play, play, play as much as possible.

"It is important for everybody we know the tradition and here the FA Cup is so important. We want to go through and we want to play the later stages."

It’s a tricky one, he must field a strong team to appease the fans. But Silva needs time, if you replace him you start again and get the same problem.

Shrewsbury manager Sam Ricketts to BBC Sport: "It's real mixed emotions. I base myself on performances and that was very, very good but I am disappointed not to win the game.

"We played football today. We have to make the game hard and frustrate them but our first goal was real quality. Everything we work on.

"We were comfortable at 2-0 up, yes we are going to concede chances but we were comfortable. They are an excellent side, let's not hide behind anything.

"Our players can take a lot from that. Neither side will have wanted a replay but we will have another game. Don't write us off yet, we went to Stoke and won in a replay."

  7. 'Everton struggling'published at 17:10 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January 2019

Everton are really struggling for consistent goals and they are struggling with a partnership at the back. Marco Silva is struggling to find his best XI and any continuity or identity.

    Jonathan Pearce
BBC Match of the Day commentator

My co-commentator Kevin Kilbane knows just what Everton face. He played in the 1-1 away draw when the two sides last met. Everton won the replay but they were seared by the memory of The Den.

I was there in 2017. Watford surrendered. Bournemouth and Leicester were also beaten at the Bermondsey blast-furnace in that run to the FA Cup quarter-finals. If Everton aren't at their sturdiest, it could melt them too.

Five regulars were left out against Lincoln City in round three. Marco Silva must surely go strong. The fans want the FA Cup to be a priority.

Millwall are in a relegation battle but they've won four of their last six. Neil Harris has done a remarkable job. Unless Everton match them for heart, the Lions could be roaring again.

It's a strong Everton side as the Toffees look to avoid an upset at Championship Millwall.

Marco Silva makes two changes to the side that started the 2-1 defeat at Southampton last Saturday.

In comes Yerry Mina and Dominic Calvert-Lewin for Bernard and Kurt Zouma.

Everton XI: Pickford, Digne, Mina, Keane, Coleman, Gomes, Gueye, Lookman, Sigurdsson, Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin.

Substitutes: Stekelenburg, Baines, Zouma, Walcott, Tosun, Bernard, Davies.

Millwall make three changes - Aiden O'Brien, Ryan Tunnicliffe and Shane Ferguson are all recalled.

Millwall XI: Archer, Hutchinson, Cooper, Williams, Gregory, Ferguson, Romeo, Tunnicliffe, O'Brien, M Wallace, Leonard.

Substitutes: Martin, Pearce, Meredith, Hanson, Skalak, Morison, Alexander.

  10. 'The replay will be tough'published at 17:06 Greenwich Mean Time 26 January 2019

    Shrewsbury 2-2 Wolves

    Wolverhampton Wanderers

Wolves head coach Nuno Espirito Santo speaking to BBC Sport: "It was a good game with an emotional and dramatic finish.

"They gave everything to draw the game. It was a hard game on a tough pitch and at the start of the second half we made a terrible mistake with the goal which made it harder.

"We had to bounce back and try to find solutions. It was good to get the goal and the next one to draw.

"Sometimes the games can be like this and require extra effort. They were well organised, they fought and were really competitive. The schedule is tight and the replay will be tough."

    Shrewsbury 2-2 Wolves

    Paul Simpson

Towards the end of the game Wolves put Shrewsbury under incredible pressure. At the start Shrewsbury would have snapped their hands off for a draw, but they would have fancied their chances after going 2-0 up. The quality in forward areas from Wolves changed the game and they deserved to get the draw out of it in the end.
