Are West Ham boycotting defending here? AFC Wimbledon are put under no pressure as a header goes all the way across goal with another player almost turning it home at the back post.

Scott Wagstaff just glided towards the edge of the box and slid it so coolly past the onrushing Adrian. Cool as you like. There is not enough physicality about West Ham right now and that is a massive goal. What an opening 45 minutes this could be.

    Scott Wagstaff

    Oh wow.

West Ham are absolutely shambolic and AFC Wimbledon are 2-0 up.

Pedro Obiang dallies on the halfway line and Scott Wagstaff steals the ball off him.

Wagstaff takes the ball all the way on his own to the edge of the box, lets Adrian dive one way and then slides it the other. He had so long to think about his shot there and didn't panic. Excellent.

Andy: Season after season after season the reintroduction of Andy Carroll to the team causes our form to plummet. We need to replace him. This naive 'little and large upfront' game plan just never works.

You always need that little bit of luck in football matches. It wasn't great defending from West Ham and Kwesi Appiah is completely unmarked. The deflection gives Adrian no chance.

    Kwesi Appiah

The League One strugglers lead and they deserve it!

West Ham's defence switch off and Anthony Wordsworth slips a ball through to Kwesi Appiah. The striker takes a touch and shoots from the edge of the box, it catches a nick off Angelo Ogbonna and wrongfoots Adrian.

    1-0.

West Ham try to counter but Andy Carroll is never going to beat two men in a race and he ends up on the floor.

West Ham haven't been able to get their passing game together which is due to the pressing from AFC Wimbledon, who have disrupted the flow and stopped Mark Noble picking up the ball from the back four.
