Kemar Roofe is the second man to go into the book for Leeds.

He clatters into the back of Max Aarons. There is a bit of backchat as he is shown the yellow. Needed calming down there.

Before these two sides went head-to-head at Elland Road, Sheffield United took their chance to close some of the gap by beating Bolton 2-0.

Goals from David McGoldrick and Billy Sharp (who else?) made it possible for the Blades.

While Wilder's side did their bit in the afternoon, he admitted that playing in the Championship's late Saturday game can have its effects on players and results.

“It’s sometimes a really difficult game, that 17:30 GMT one - players are sat about all afternoon," he told BBC Radio Sheffield.

“I’m thinking I’m going soft here thinking about players sitting around in hotels and getting massages and getting their legs rubbed.

“But, it’s sometimes not a good time that game and no matter what you say it does crank up the pressure a little bit.

“So we are delighted that we got our business done and got our three points."

He's probably quite enjoying the scoreline as it stands too I imagine!

Before that chance, Leeds made their third change with Patrick Bamford replacing Tyler Roberts.

  4. Postpublished at 63 mins

    Leeds 0-2 Norwich

Norwich's Onel Hernandez does remarkably well to force his way to the byline to dangerously cut the ball back across goal.

Ezgjan Alioski fails to react as the ball falls to his feet. Max Aarons almost punishes, lashing his shot wide.

    Leeds 0-2 Norwich

For all of Leeds endeavour today, they have created little of genuine quality in front of goal.

Ezgjan Alioski on his weaker right foot tries his luck from distance. It is collected with ease.

    Leeds 0-2 Norwich

Mario Vrancic clatters into Tyler Roberts, and Leeds yet again have a free-kick in a promising area.

This time it's deep on the right.

It's fizzed in, but no-one makes the run to meet it. Tim Krul clutches it. Easy.

  7. Reaction: Bruce thrilled to make perfect startpublished at 18:48 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2019

FT: Ipswich Town 0-1 Sheffield Wednesday

Sheffield Wednesday may have left it late to see off bottom-placed Ipswich 1-0 in Steve Bruce's first game in charge, but he felt they were good value for Lucas Joao's 90th-minute strike at Portman Road.

“It should’ve been a lot more comfortable than 1-0 to be brutally honest," Bruce told BBC Radio Sheffield.

"We missed some really good chances, which on another day could’ve gone against us.

“But, overall I’m pleased. We were comfortable apart from our finishing.

“There’s still a lot to do, let’s not get carried away. But, defensively it was good to see and I have to thank the lads who’ve put in a lot of work on the training pitch to make that happen.

“You’ve got to make sure you give yourselves a platform and today there were glimpses that that can be more than just in defence.”

    Leeds 0-2 Norwich

Jack Clarke looks very dangerous out on the right for Leeds.

The teenager has no qualms about running at the defence. One to for Norwich to contain, that's for sure.

  9. YELLOW CARDpublished at 52 mins

    Leeds 0-2 Norwich

The first few minutes of this second half have been more... let's say, robust.

Nothing like the rattling pace of the first 45 minutes of attacking football.

Leeds' Tyler Roberts is booked for a challenge on Max Aarons as he tries to scamper away up the right wing. That sort of sums up my point.

Leeds have already made two of their substitutions and they still have fit-again striker Patrick Bamford in reserve. He's back on the bench today after six or seven weeks out injured.

The longer Leeds stay behind, the more likely it is that we'll see him on the pitch later on.

  11. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 46 mins

    Leeds 0-2 Norwich

Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa is looking for a quick change of fortunes and goes to his bench for a double change.

Jack Harrison is replaced by Jack Clarke, while Pablo Hernandez makes way for Barry Douglas.

  13. Reaction: Mowbray felt Blackburn lost 'leaders'published at 18:31 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2019

    FT: Brentford 5-2 Blackburn

Blackburn ended up on the wrong end of a seven-goal thriller at Brentford, especially after racing into an early two-goal lead in west London.

Rovers boss Tony Mowbray pointed to the loss through injury of attacking pair Danny Graham and Bradley Dack in the second half as one of the causes for the turnaround.

“It turned into a difficult afternoon for us," he told BBC Radio Lancashire. "There were spells when we were pretty good and deserved to score more than the two goals we did.

“But, I think at half-time we needed to make a decision with our front two as Graham and Dack were both struggling.

“We gave them five minutes at the start of the second half, but once they came off, I felt we lost a bit of leadership.

“We were very ragged for their second and third goals and we worked really hard on defending free-kicks and it’s really disappointing to concede in the way we did."

  14. Reaction: Gomes sees signs of Reading progresspublished at 18:28 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2019

    FT: Reading 0-0 Aston Villa

Meanwhile, Reading manager Jose Gomes was equally philosophical that his side could have come away with more than a point against Aston Villa.

"I'm not happy with a point, I wanted all three in order to move ourselves out of the position we're in," the Portuguese told BBC Radio Berkshire.

"We played better in the first half, we created more chances, got our passing game going more.

"In the second half, Aston Villa played more direct and we struggled to get our game going.

"But, we managed to play some direct football too, forcing set-pieces and chances towards the end and it was a typical Championship match full of emotion right until the end.

"I'm grateful to the crowd for keeping us going right until the end as it really helped us. This was a good point and we must capture the good things we're doing going forward."

  15. Reaction: Smith rues what might have been for Villapublished at 18:26 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2019

    FT: Reading 0-0 Aston Villa

There were plenty of chances for both Reading and Aston Villa to claim a win at the Madejski Stadium, but in the end the two defences held firm in a goalless draw.

Villa boss Dean Smith felt his side did more than enough to come away with the three points.

“There is a feeling of frustration, but our performance levels are back to where I want them to be," he told BBC WM 95.6.

"We started well and were on the front foot and I thought we were especially good in the second half.

“We changed it tactically at half-time and had the best chances in the game.

"Tammy Abraham had two headers and will probably be disappointed that he didn’t score. On the balance of chances we were the better team today."

  17. HALF-TIMEpublished at 18:21 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2019

    Leeds 0-2 Norwich

A sublime early free-kick from Mario Vrancic and a cool close-range finish from Teemu Pukki has put Norwich up in this enthralling Championship encounter.

Leeds, however, have been a constant danger and had the Canaries under huge amounts of sustained pressure. And yet they have nothing to show for it.

The hosts are no way out of this. A big second half to come.

    Leeds 0-2 Norwich

Leeds have the ball in the back of the net. BUT, it doesn't count.

Goalkeeper Tim Krul is heavily fouled as he comes out to meet another dangerous free-kick. Luke Ayling prods home, but that means nothing...
