They say form goes out of the window for derby matches - but, well... really?

Current Championship leaders Norwich City host bottom side Ipswich Town in the Old Farm derby on Sunday and it's kind of hard to see past a home win.

Even taking this season's woes out of the equation, the Tractor Boys haven't beaten the Canaries since 2009 and are without a win at Carrow Road since 2006.

Can the team with the league's worst away record really pull off a shock? Former Norwich boss Paul Lambert will be hoping so, anyway.

Could this be the weekend Macclesfield Town finally haul themselves out of the League Two relegation zone?

The Silkmen were five points adrift at the foot of the table when Sol Campbell first took charge but, for the third game running, they could move out of the bottom two with victory today.

Elsewhere, leaders Lincoln City host Northampton Town, while play-off hopefuls Carlisle United and Exeter City meet at Brunton Park.

Away from the Championship, there's also a full programme of fixtures in both League One and League Two this afternoon.

Third-tier leaders Luton Town, already six points clear at the top, could extend their advantage even further if they beat Wycombe Wanderers at Kenilworth Road and Barnsley and Sunderland - both away from home today - drop points.

Arguably the pick of the the games sees sixth-placed Peterborough United host seventh-placed Doncaster Rovers, while Bristol Rovers face fellow strugglers Shrewsbury Town at the other end of the table.

  5. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:48 Greenwich Mean Time 9 February 2019

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Leeds

And that's your lot. Leeds started well, Middlesbrough grew into it but it remains goalless at the break.

As it stands, however, Marcelo Bielsa's side are heading top.

The away side appear to have weathered the Middlesbrough storm somewhat and now have a free-kick on the right-hand side.

Boro goalkeeper Darren Randolph does well to punch the initial delivery clear and then Ryan Shotton blocks Kemar Roofe's attempt.

Can anyone have a guess at what Tony Pulis and Marcelo Bielsa were joking about pre-match?

Knowing the two characters as we do, you could probably have a bit of fun with this. Answers on a postcard to #bbcefl on Twitter, if you fancy it.

We're about five minutes away from half-time.

We've not seen a huge amount of Leeds striker Patrick Bamford so far, but he's just had his first sight of goal.

The former Middlesbrough man doesn't have much to aim at, shooting from an angle, and can subsequently only skew his effort into the crowd.

It's probably worth a quick reminder of how the Championship table is looking after last night's mayhem.

Norwich City, who host bottom side Ipswich Town on Sunday, remain top on goal difference for now - but if the score stays the same at the Riverside Leeds will leapfrog them.

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Leeds

After a confident start from the visitors, it's Middlesbrough who are doing all the attacking at the moment.

Lewis Wing is the latest to have a shot at goal, striking his effort from about 25 yards out narrowly wide.

    QPR v Birmingham (15:00 GMT)

    Che AdamsImage source, Rex Features

The Championship's a silly old league, isn't it?

There are just 10 points separating sixth-placed Bristol City and 18th-placed Preston North End - and two teams who find themselves somewhere in the middle of all that are Queens Park Rangers and Birmingham City.

Both sides, however, will need to up their game if they're to remain in the play-off hunt.

Birmingham's victory against Nottingham Forest last Saturday was their first since Boxing Day, while QPR have failed to win in the league since the same date.

Aden Flint doesn't miss many from inside the area - but he's just wasted two decent opportunities in the space of about three minutes here.

This time he's about six yards from goal, trying to convert Ryan Shotton's decent cross, but his connection is poor and the chance goes begging.

    Boro are on top.

And it's a big chance for Middlesbrough from the resulting corner!

Aden Flint gets up above goalkeeper Kiko Casilla and has the goal at his mercy just a couple of yards out, but somehow he heads it over the bar.

How's the big ex-Bristol City centre-half missed that?

I mentioned Ezgjan Alioski as an attacking option at full-back for Leeds earlier - and he's already getting forward well, although he's just sliced a volley well wide.

At the other end, George Saville has another strike at goal but Kiko Casilla is again equal to it and turns it behind for a corner.

  17. Can the Tigers catch the Rams?published at 13:19 Greenwich Mean Time 9 February 2019

    Derby v Hull (15:00 GMT)

    Frank LampardImage source, Getty Images

Just over three months ago Hull City were 23rd in the table and 15 points behind Derby County. By the end of the day, that gap could be down to just one point.

That turnaround in fortunes is largely down to the Tigers' remarkable recovery, with a recent six-game winning sequence propelling Nigel Adkins' side up the table.

Derby have won just once in the league since the turn of the year and are now in seventh, having been dislodged from the play-off spots by Bristol City last week.

Frank Lampard's side could do with a win today, make no mistake about that.

We've had a shot on goal!

After good work from Kemar Roofe, Mateusz Klich attempts a first-time volley from outside the area, but it drifts wide of the target.

Leeds have absolutely bossed the ball in the opening 10 minutes or so but it remains goalless.
