One or two Newcastle fans were in danger of spilling onto the pitch in protest at a couple of Mike Dean's decisions a few minutes ago - and others were unable to contain themselves after that late goal. One or two have been led away by police and stewards.

But a stunner from Matt Ritchie sends the remaining travelling supporters home with a share of the spoils. Ritchie shares an embrace with a couple of his old team-mates before going to clap his current club's supporters.

As waves of rain start to lash across the pitch, Dominic Solanke - still awaiting his first Bournemouth goal - did all the spadework for that goal, allowing King to apply the finish.

The Cherries are five minutes - plus stoppages - from hitting the magic 40-point mark which must surely earn them a fifth season in England's top flight - utterly unfathomable when Eddie Howe first took charge a decade ago.

Hayden! No!

The midfielder appeared to slip as he pulled the trigger from the edge of the box.

Bournemouth clear the resulting corner.

It's now or never for Newcastle.

Two changes in quick succession for Newcastle.

Miguel Almiron and Mo Diame come off for Yoshinori Muto and Jonjo Shelvey, who makes his 100th league appearance for the Magpies.

The ball sits up perfectly for Jefferson Lerma on the edge of the box, but the ball bounces wide of Martin Dubravka's goal.

Newcastle now have two ex-Bournemouth wingers on the field. While Matt Ritchie's Cherries heroics are well known, your average fan may not even remember that Christian Atsu spent the first half of the 2015-16 season on loan here. However, Atsu failed to appear in the Premier League for Bournemouth - starting two League Cup games and being substituted in both.

Meanwhile, the swirling wind here is causing a few problems - apart from blowing litter on to the field. A few Bournemouth set-pieces at the north end of the ground have foxed defenders and attackers alike.

Isaac Hayden is cautioned for a late challenge on Solanke as we enter the final 15 minutes of the second half.

Newcastle fail to clear a ball into the box and Callum Wilson sends a looping header over Dubravka, but the Magpies' skipper acrobatically clears the ball off the line.

Both teams still have all three substitutes remaining, despite all those niggling injuries.

Matt Ritchie aims to find Salomon Rondon inside the area but his delivery evades the big Venezuelan and Bournemouth have a throw-in.

Bournemouth have changed their shape slightly - moving from 4-4-2 to 4-1-4-1 with Joshua King wide on the left, and Ryan Fraser tucked inside into a more central role - but the little Scot remains a potent threat.

Jefferson Lerma goes close with a low, curling effort that flies a yard wide of Dubravka's left-hand post.

It's been end-to-end stuff since the restart, but it remains 1-1 with just over 25 minutes of normal time remaining.
