Joshua King fluffed his lines last time he took a penalty - scoring one and then missing one in the same game, against Wolves - but the Cherries are back on terms, and nearly grabbed a second when Chris Mepham lost his marker from a corner.

Bournemouth are made to pay for a poor attacking set-piece - from which Newcastle broke forward to ultimately score - to end quite an open first half which has featured two pacey, counter-attacking teams, as well as a few tasty tackles.

It's three for the season against Bournemouth for Salomon Rondon, who scored both goals in Newcastle's 2-1 win on Tyneside in November.

Rondon's free-kick is the difference between the two teams at the break.
