Stephen: if Everton finish 7th this season then the rest of the premier bar the top 6 is shambolic

Peter: West Ham should be ashamed of themselves - a horrible performance!

This is the 5th time West Ham could challenge for 7th & the 5th time they've failed! What do these players need for motivation?

  4. goal

GOAL - Newcastle 1-2 Evertonpublished at 16:22 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2019

    Salomon Rondon (65 mins)

    Interesting.

Newcastle will think they deserve to have scored, and they did so following lovely inter-play between Ayoze Perez and Salomon Rondon.

The pair exchange passes near the edge of the area before Perez dinks the ball over the head of two Everton defenders and finds Rondon. The Venzuelan fires an angled volley past Jordan Pickford.

    Happier Rafa?

  5. GREAT SAVES!published at 16:21 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2019

    Cardiff 2-0 West Ham

The Bluebirds should be 3-0 up!! Make that 4-0!

First, Oumar Niasse goes on a brilliant run, pokes the ball past Issa Diop but somehow fires his shot wide.

And then Niasse's hooked volley from two yards is brilliantly saved by Lukasz Fabianski before the Polish keeper blocks Victor Camarasa's follow-up.

  6. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:21 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2019

    Leicester 1-1 Fulham

    WHAT A STOP!

Leicester go to the other end and Harvey Barnes is looking for his first Foxes goal, curling a strike from the edge of the box which is about to nestle in the far corner, but Sergio Rico flings himself full stretch to his left to tip the ball away.

    Superb save.

Much better from Fulham, they are sensing a victory here.

Floyd Ayite has made a real difference linking with Aleksandar Mitrovic, but the Serbian's strike is blocked.

    Newcastle 0-2 Everton

Meanwhile at St James', Salomon Rondon continues to trouble the Everton defence while Jordan Pickford continues to look shaky.

The Venezuelan striker causes a communication mix-up between Michael Keane and the keeper.

Pickford is in no-man's land as the ball drifts past his far post.

The way Cardiff have attacked this is brilliant. Their attitude and conduct has been ‘we have to win’ and they are playing like that

  12. Fulham grab a lifelinepublished at 16:14 Greenwich Mean Time 9 March 2019

    Leicester 1-1 Fulham

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at The King Power Stadium

Just as the words "do Fulham's players actually realise they're in trouble?" were about to be typed...in goes the equaliser.

Leicester were in complete control in the first half but did not press home their advantage. Now they have been pegged back and Fulham have hope from nowhere.

    A poor, poor finish.

This was as close range as close range can get.

Junior Hoilett's ball from from the right is met with a cushioned header towards the near corner by Josh Murphy.

Victor Camarasa wins the battle with Lukasz Fabianski to get to the ball first and hooks in to the delight of the home support.

This could be a massive win for the Welsh club.

I don’t think you can point to the 'keeper on that goal. It has come off Harry Maguire, he puts a leg out and it deflects past Schmeichel. He has no chance.

It must have been a good motivational speech from the Southampton manger at half time as they have come out with a spring in their step.

Hugo Lloris has done very well there, as Nathan Redmond just missed it.

    Better from Southampton.
