If you broke down Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's record since he took over at Manchester United, he would be right there up there with Manchester City and Liverpool.

It is not an easy job to catch Pep Guardiola, it took Jurgen Klopp a few years, but it is about challenging and fulfilling it for the whole season. He is capable of putting a lot of wins together like Liverpool and City do.

Manchester United have lost their identity of the last few years, it is not about the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer way, but it about the Manchester United way. Playing with an attacking front four and making attacking changes during games like Sir Alex Ferguson used to do.

Solskjaer does not have the body of work yet at the top level to ask, what is his style? It did not work out at Cardiff but we will get to see it.

It's bright and sunny at Old Trafford as the teams emerge and massive Solskjaer banner is unfurled at the Stretford End.

Win today and Manchester United will leapfrog fourth-placed Arsenal, who play Newcastle at home on Monday. That'll be a nice start for Ole won't it?

  5. Good omen for Ole?published at 14:55 Greenwich Mean Time 30 March 2019

Manchester United fans will hope not.

But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's appointment comes after two defeats - to Wolves in the FA Cup and Arsenal in the Premier League and now they face a Watford side who are having a fine season under Javi Gracia and have made the FA Cup semi-finals.

The good news for United fans is that the Hornets have never won a league game at Old Trafford.

    Let's get the team news....

Yes after a superb stint as Manchester United's caretaker boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is now in charge for the next three years.

He's only lost one Premier League game since he replaced Jose Mourinho in December and his side are two points off the top four, having been 11 points behind when the Norwegian took over.

Does anything change now he's made permanent boss?

So if you haven't heard, Ole's at the wheel!

Anyone else had 'Waterfall' by the Stone Roses stuck in there heads the last week? I'm not even a Manchester United fan....
