Wolves are having a wonderful season aren't they? I really think they can go all the way in this competition. The likes of Watford and Manchester City will be there too I'm sure.

Nuno Espirito Santo's side had five shots from inside the box in that half, enjoyed almost 60% of the possession and made over 300 passes - 102 more than Bristol City. Looking good!

A very comfortable half for Wolves. Nuno Espirito Santo isn't happy about something though. He's wagging his finger at someone in the tunnel - causing a bit of a gathering in the entrance - but it's quickly moved along.

We have just had a drop ball! I haven't seen one of those since I was about 11. Both players seemed to be surprised when the ball dropped too as neither controlled it!

Joao Moutinho flicks a free-kick into the box but Willy Boly's header skews wide of the keeper's right post.

He just seemed to mistime his jump and was leaning back when he made contact.

Speaking of Raul Jimenez...

He gets in behind Adam Webster but the defender does well to recover and put him off just as he's about to shoot. Keeper Frank Fielding comesout to collect.

Raul Jimenez is an excellent good, all-round striker. He's not massively quick, hasn't got massively good power. But he's a good player, good finisher - a cute, neat, all-around good player.

Bailey Wright curls an inviting cross in from the right and Kasey Palmer is unmarked but his header doesn't hit the target from a few yards out.

It was slightly behind him but Palmer should have done better with that! Chance wasted.

It's been a brilliant half from Matt Doherty so far. He's been marauding up and down that right wing - as you can see from the touchmap below.

He's just brought down Callum O'Dowda to give away a free-kick though, but Wolves quickly get the ball back and are putting the game into cruise control.

The way Matt Doherty plays is good, he's back when he should be back and he's forward when he should be forward and he looks relaxed all of the time.

Jonny gets behind the full-back on the left wing but his cut-back is picked up by Niclas Eliasson. Raul Jimenez then links up with Leander Dendoncker but the Dutchman's shot is palmed away.

Wolves are really starting to turn up the heat.

Element of luck for Wolves and Matt Doherty at the start, but he then gets his head up and Wolves go ahead.

Matt Doherty is constructing everything. He links up with Raul Jimenez on the edge of the box - a cheeky flick puts him through - and Doherty's effort smacks off the outside of the far post.

My word, that would have been some goal!

A deep cross is pinged in from the right and Callum O'Dowda tries an audacious overhead kick which flies over the bar.

That wasn't a bad effort actually!

They (Bristol City) don't panic out of possession considering the quality Wolves have. They said 'right, ok we know you will have possession but we will make life difficult in the right areas and in the right areas where you can't pick us off.'

Joe Morrell is taken down by Leander Dendoncker as he tries to skip into the box on the right side. It's a free-kick in a tasty position and Niclas Eliasson will have a go.

The effort is a poor one and it's comfortable for John Ruddy. Bristol City just starting to get into the game more though.
