I don't think I breathed for the first two minutes, it was all the US. England looked shell-shocked. They did well to weather the storm.

Two cracking goals!

Kelley O’Hara knocks it across the box for Alex Morgan but she gets the touch wrong and it evades the USA striker, who was ready to stretch and pounce.

USA are piling on the pressure again around the box but some brave England defending nullifies the threat.

England will want to hang on to this score at the half-time whistle.

That's fantastic. You can see what she's trying to do. That technique to get it round the ball is brilliant. That's what you want from your captain, your leader. It's the only place it could have gone. No stopping that one.

Can England hit back immediately? They've got a free-kick inside the area after Ellen White collided with the US keeper.

Absolute fantastic strike. That started from an England press, which they didn't quite get together. It's a great crossfield ball. When it falls to Megan Rapinoe, it's a great first touch to set herself up really well and what a fantastic strike that is. England need to react better to that second ball.

USA keep it really tight with their defending. England need to get wide and get their full-backs overlapping, that's where the space is.

England have settled into their rhythm now but the USA still look the most comfortable on the ball - and have put together the best attacking movements.

Boos ring out around the Nissan Stadium in Nashville as Tobin Heath goes tumbling down in the penalty area. She thinks Steph Houghton's at fault. Ref says no. Crowd say boooooooooo.

Lindsey Horan is absent for the USA through injury but is likely to be included in the squad for their World Cup defence this summer.

Alex Morgan executes a marvellous dummy and Rose Lavelle has a go from distance.

It's no problem for Karen Bardsley in the England goal.

Mallory Pugh (Beyonce for a day) tries to thread through into the penalty area but England's defence are savvy to it.
