Farcical scenes. The North Korean referee blows for full-time just seconds after four minutes of stoppage time are finally signalled - after 94 minutes. The penalty incident took a whole lot longer than that...
That's the end of the road for Scotland in such heartbreaking fashion.
Both teams are out. Well, Scotland are definitely out and Argentina are left hoping for a pair of improbable draws tomorrow.
Florencia Bonsegundo
Stop the internet, I want to get off...
The retaken penalty is driven straight down the middle but a shell-shocked Lee Alexander can only stumble out of the way.
Scotland 3-2 Argentina
What the what now? VAR orders a retake. Lee Alexander had both feet of the line as she pulled off that save.
I can't take any more of this...
Scotland 3-2 Argentina
Incredible. Lee Alexander saves!
Florencia Bonsegundo's kick is stopped by the diving Glasgow City keeper, who then gets back up to make a brave block at the taker's feet.
Scotland 3-2 Argentina
Our worst fears are confirmed. Scotland concede a penalty for the third game running...

Quote MessageIt looks like a penalty. She goes the wrong side of the Argentinian player.
Scotland 3-2 Argentina
The referee is coming to the side of the pitch to have a look at the replays. This is unbearable!
Sophie Howard, just on the park, slides in and sends her opponent Aldana Cometti tumbling. VAR surely... It doesn't look good for Scotland.
Scotland 3-2 Argentina
Fiona Brown and Sophie Howard are on, with Lisa Evans and Kirsty Smith withdrawn...

Erin Cuthbert is cautioned for time wasting.
Scotland 3-2 Argentina
Still no subs for Scotland and it's all getting very tense, with seven minutes plus stoppage time remaining.
Cool heads required and maybe some fresh legs.
Scotland 3-2 Argentina
Those eagle-eyed among you will have spotted Erin Cuthbert producing a picture from her sock after she scored. Well, here it is. In her BBC Sport column she said: "My dad was helping me load up my bags in the car and it felt like I was moving out again. He said 'don't leave without saying goodbye' and disappeared back into the house, which I thought was strange. Then he came out and gave me this wee picture, maybe about the size of a bank card, of me when I was a kid outside Ibrox with a Rangers 'trackie' on. He said to me, 'I know how much you say you do it for us, but you have to do it for yourself' and he had written on the back of this picture 'Do it for this wee girl who had a dream and practised and practised until it came true'.
Florencia Bonsegundo
What is going on? Again, Argentina score out of nothing as Florencia Bonsegundo hammers in a shot from distance and it goes in off the underside of the crossbar, with Lee Alexander getting a touch along the way.
She should probably be keeping that out.

Erin Cuthbert was asked before the game if she could be our James McFadden and score a wonder goal in this Paris stadium 22 years on. Her answer: “I wish it was that easy.”
Turns out it was pretty easy for the 20-year-old Chelsea star, who couldn't miss from there.
And it looks like that was the picture of young Erin she pulled out of her sock while celebrating.
She told BBC Scotland she carried it to remind her to “do it for this wee girl who had a dream and practised and practised until it came true.”
Milagros Menendez
Uh-oh. A mix up in central defence and Argentina have a goal back, with substitute Milagros Menendez keeping a cool head to slide a shot past the advancing Lee Alexander.
Every goal is crucial here, remember, with the four best third-placed teams not settled until tomorrow's games are finished.
Erin Cuthbert
Caroline Weir pings in the corner and Leanne Crichton powers in a strong header that is tipped on to the post by Vanina Correa. The ball falls to Erin Cuthbert and her smile is as wide as the Clyde as she pops it home from close range.
Last 16 here we come? Surely?
Scotland 2-0 Argentina
Argentina are leaving a few gaps at the back now and Erin Cuthbert almost takes advantage, spinning away from two opponents before drilling in a shot from the edge of the penalty area. Vanina Correa gets down well to save.
Scotland 2-0 Argentina
