I haven't seen sound defending all tournament. Maybe we need more flashiness but this is the type of defending which will win you tournaments.

They are discussing the goalkeepers' performances in France on BBC One now. This was a decent save by Sari van Veenendaal earlier. She has struggled a little in this match though!

We did not think there would be much in between the two teams.
Last night it was a surge of USA players into England territory, but these two are sitting off, maintaining possession and trying to grind out the opposition.
Have they been the fans of the tournament?

Sweden have pace but just haven't been able to get that last shot at goal. They have had more of the ball but it's the last ball has been cut out. But if they get it right, they can easily score a couple of goals.
HT: Netherlands 0-0 Sweden
Come on ladies. Imagine the celebration photos with this back drop? We need a winner.
Alex Scott
Ex-England international on BBC One
I don’t know if it was just me feeling deflated but it's not brought the excitement and quality of yesterday's game. It's like both sides are waiting for a mistake instead of forcing it.

Everything about that half of football suggests I'm going to be sending the gaffer the following in about an hour and 45 minutes:
"Xxxxxx beat xxxxxx on penalties to reach Sunday's Women's World Cup final against the United States."
Netherlands 0-0 Sweden
Not the best game so far. But there's plenty of talented stars who can turn this around!
Netherlands 0-0 Sweden
Sweden coach Peter Gerhardsson is encouraging his players on the touchline. He wants more urgency and more desire.
Netherlands 0-0 Sweden
This is more like it! The Netherlands turn on the flash with a very neat move down the right. Jackie Groenen backheels it into the path of Vivianne Miedema but her touch lets her down in the box.
She wastes an opportunity to shoot and it falls to Lineth Beerensteyn. Her shot is then blocked and there's a scramble before it's eventually hooked clear.
SHOOOOOT!
Netherlands 0-0 Sweden
Lieke Martens skips past Kosovare Asllani on the left and is then hacked down by Nilla Fischer, who comes sliding in recklessly.
No yellow card. That's a let off!

Wayne Ellis: People forgetting that the Netherlands stuffed us out of sight last time we met?
Raoul van Lennep: Pat Nevin save the comments for yourself. If England were better than Sweden and the Netherlands they would be European champions and have won yesterday, don’t you think?
Netherlands 0-0 Sweden
I think it's fair to say, this match has not lived up to the billing like last night! We need a goal, desperately.
Netherlands 0-0 Sweden

Former England forward on BBC One
Sweden just put the corners right on top of the goalkeeper and put bodies in there. That's a great reaction save.

Sari van Veenendaal does really well to keep her awareness and shift her positioning. She took two steps to her right to get in line with the ball, made herself big and made a crucial save with her leg.
Netherlands 0-0 Sweden
Oh, I thought it was in!
A corner is fired in from the left and it falls to Elin Rubensson. She drills it towards goal and it ricochets off several bodies before Lina Hurtig sticks a leg out at it.
It almost rolls past the keeper but Sari van Veenendaal manages to keep it out with an outstretched leg.
Netherlands 0-0 Sweden
Sofia Jakobsson's cross causes all kinds of problems for the Dutch defence and it's all their own making.
First, Sari van Veenendaal flaps at it, before defender Desiree van Lunteren hooks it out for a corner despite there being no pressure behind her.

Chris Lowes: Winner of this is gonna get hammered off the USA
Os: Watching this just frustrates me even more. Surely England would have breezed past either of these teams?
Ouch!
