The striker has time to take a touch before hitting it but it's straight at the keeper. Sari van Veenendaal fumbles it slightly but gets there in front of Jakobsson, who was lurking for the rebound.

I think if Nathalie Bjorn had played, she might have sat in that defensive midfield role which would have allowed Caroline Seger to get forward more.

Excellent defending from Sweden skipper Caroline Seger. The Dutch drive through the centre and Danielle van de Donk finds Arsenal teammate Vivianne Miedema.

She cuts inside but just as she is about to shoot, Seger comes sliding in to make the block.

Lina Hurtig chips the ball over Desiree van Lunteren's leg and just about keeps it in play on the backline.

She tries to drill it in low for Stina Blackstenius but the keeper gets her hands on it. She spills it initially but recovers in time.

Sweden, not wanting to be left behind, start a drum-led slow chant of their own at the other end.

The stadium has filled up nicely now.

Jackie Groenen plays a nice one-two with Lineth Beerensteyn. The Dutch winger doesn't have the pace of regular starter Shanice van de Sanden, but she gets there first and uses her strength to gain a yard before pinging a ball into the box.

It's headed away but Stefanie van der Gragt prevents a counter-attack down the left.

The most colourful and noisiest sections of fans supporting each side are positioned directly behind each goal.

Chelsea full-back Magdalena Eriksson links up with Stina Blackstenius on the left before whipping a ball into the box.

There's nobody there to attack it and it's a comfortable catch for Dutch skipper Sari van Veenendaal.

The Netherlands play a quick free-kick and catch Sweden off guard. It comes to Vivianne Miedema on the edge of the box but her strike flies wide of the left post.

Sherida Spitse is the pivot for the Netherlands. She was clinical with her set-pieces in the last game against Italy.

She has been the heartbeat of the team.

Lina Hurtig, who has come into the Sweden side today, overcooks a long ball forward and the Netherlands have a goal kick.

Already, it feels like Sweden are going to try and slow the game down and thwart the quick counter-attacking play from the Netherlands.

It's such a tough game to call. Both sides have been getting better as the tournament has gone on.

I'd say the Netherlands have the better individual players but Sweden are the better team. It's about who can cope with the pressure.

USA will not care who they play in the final, they will have their feet up, all relaxed and will be saying, 'bring it on'.

They may prefer the Netherlands because they found it difficult to break down Sweden in the group stage and they will want to knock the young European champions including Vivianne Miedema and Lieke Martens off their perch.

She's definitely going to score a hat-trick now isn't she?

For me the frustrating thing is Vivianne Miedema has so much talent and ability. She gets in the right places and scores goals. But when we talk about the best strikers, like Alex Morgan, Marta or Abby Wambach, there's something lacking - her work rate off the ball. But the good thing is she gets in the positions and scores goals.

Netherlands’ midfielder Sherida Spitse has provided more assists than any other player at the World Cup (four), with all of them coming via set-pieces, including two against Italy in the quarter-finals.
