Tottenham 2-0 Huddersfield
Very, very comfortable for Spurs.
Managing fine without the likes of Kane, Alli and Son.
Mauricio Pochettino's decision justified so far with his line-up.
Wanyama dribbles coolly around Hamer to open scoring
Moura scores first hat-trick at Spurs' new stadium
Spurs move back up to third in table
Huddersfield already relegated

Spurs really need to take advantage of this poor Huddersfield team and score more. It could come down to goal difference this season.

Chris Lowe loses the ball and perhaps in frustration, slides straight into Kyle Walker-Peters.

Andy Head: I agree with Michael @ 13:01. I'm a Liverpool fan, and our football is more free-flowing without a main front man. Spurs players seem to think they have to give Kane the ball all the time, and have more freedom to play their own game when he's not there.
Rob Anderson: I've watched 30 minutes of football at the new White Hart Lane, and I'm already sick of reading "TO DARE IS TO DO". Spurs look good though.

That was very nearly three. Fernando Llorente maneuvers himself right to the first man and he just glances it a yard wide of the far post.
Tottenham 2-0 Huddersfield
Almost three. Inches wide.
Spurs have a free-kick on the right sideline after Moussa Sissoko is fouled.
Christian Eriksen puts it straight onto Fernando Llorente's head who is so close to placing it inside the far post.

Saying Spurs are better without Kane is like saying Barca are better without Messi. He's the distraction which shifts focus from other players leaving more space for them. Plus, it's just Huddersfield.

Tottenham 2-0 Huddersfield
Fernando Llorente is causing Huddersfield all sorts of problems. He plucks the ball out of the air in the box, turns and shoots but Florent Hadergjonaj slides in with with a vital block.
Tottenham 2-0 Huddersfield
There were just 144 seconds between Tottenham's first and second goals against Huddersfield Town.

That should have been the first goal conceded by Tottenham in their new stadium. It's a simple left-footed finish from six yards out and it's a big miss.

Michael Reid: Spurs should definitely cash in on Kane. A much better team without him. Almost like not having a focal point in attack benefits all other players with their game.
Tottenham 2-0 Huddersfield
First corner of the game falls to Huddersfield.
Now can they threaten Spurs here?
Juninho Bacuna finds Jon Gorenc Stankovic unmarked in the middle of the box, he tries to side-foot it in on the volley, but it goes wide.
That is a huge chance missed.

It's ridiculous to say Spurs are better without Harry Kane...Oh, hang on.

The holes have started to appear in the Huddersfield side. Lucas Moura just spins out to the right hand side and he pings it across the goal on the half volley. The ball just flies past Ben Hamer and it's a brilliant finish.
This could be a long day for Huddersfield.
Lucas Moura
He has absolutely drilled that in.
Moussa Sissoko runs at goal, flicks the ball to Moura on his right, who smashes it into the far corner, straight through Ben Hamer.

It's great timing for the goal and they needed that to settle them down. Fernando Llorente doesn't actually touch the ball but he holds the defender off and Victor Wanyama times his run well. It was a great finish.
Victor Wanyama
Deadlock broken.
The ball is fired into Llorente with his back to goal, he turns and the ball falls to Wanyama, who rushes into the box, evades a sliding tackle, takes it around Ben Hamer, and taps it in.
Great goal.

Spurs haven't had a real goal opportunity and the pressure is all on them to win the game. The longer it goes without a goal, the more the pressure will build.
Tottenham 0-0 Huddersfield
Huddersfield growing into the game now as Spurs try to get the ball to Llorente's feet to hold up, but the visitors frustrate and clear.
