Bolton's fans serenaded their goalkeeper after he got down well to save Oli McBurnie's first-half penalty.

Matthews made a crucial error as Bolton were beaten at Leeds last time out, but his recent form has been largely impressive and he has continued in that vein this afternoon.

It was a second penalty miss of the season for McBurnie, while Wilfried Bony has also failed from the spot in Swansea colours this term.

• League Two leaders Lincoln City are level against seventh-placed Forest Green Rovers, with Imps striker John Akinde making it 1-1.
• Bury, Mansfield Town and MK Dons - in second, third and fourth - all lead at the break.
• But Exeter City and Colchester, also in the play-off places, are losing to Tranmere Rovers and Swindon Town respectively.

• Promotion hopefuls Portsmouth look set to end their eight-game winless run in League One, leading Bradford City 2-0 at half-time.
• Fellow high-flyers Sunderland also lead against Plymouth Argyle, but league leaders Luton Town are being held at home by Rochdale.
• Peterborough United are 3-2 up against Wycombe Wanderers in a thrilling game at London Road.

Here are the key stories developing in the second tier so far - and there's only one place to start...

• Aston Villa are hammering out-of-sorts Derby County, with Jack Grealish putting the hosts 4-0 up at half-time.
• Norwich City are heading back to the top of the table as it stands, but have been pegged back to 1-1 at Millwall.
• Play-off chasing Bristol City, Birmingham City and Nottingham Forest are all 1-0 down away from home.

Tom Naylor has given Portsmouth some breathing space against Bradford, firing Pompey 2-0 up, while the match between Peterborough at Wycombe is now 3-2 to Posh.

So far, Bristol City don't look like they'll be capitalising on Derby's struggles this afternoon in the play-off race.

The Robins have been second best at Deepdale.

Craig Noone brings down Nathan Dyer in the area and the Swans have a chance to break the deadlock... But Oli McBurnie's tame effort is easily saved by Remi Matthews.

I mentioned what a big win it'd be for Portsmouth if they could beat Bradford today - but this goal won't cheer Pompey fans up much.

Lee Cattermole has fired Sunderland in front against Plymouth, notching his fifth goal of the season. To put that into perspective, the 30-year-old had only scored three league goals for the Black Cats since 2009 prior to this campaign.

As you may have expected, Swansea have had almost all of the possession. More than 80% of it, in fact.

But it remains goalless at the Liberty...

Nicky Maynard has put Bury 1-0 up against Sol Campbell's Macclesfield Town, who remain in the League Two relegation zone.

In another huge game at the bottom of that division today, Morecambe lead Yeovil Town, who could be heading 22nd if results stay as they are.
