Well, I said it wouldn't end goalless and I was, not for the first time, incorrect.

A game of few chances ended level at Hillsborough as the Owls remained unbeaten under Steve Bruce.

And indeed it is.

It won't go down as a classic and it ends with a result neither team will have wanted.

The Blades went closest in the first half through striker Gary Madine and the hosts had the best chance of the second half when Sam Hutchinson fired straight at Dean Henderson when well placed.

Sheffield United remain third in the table.

This result would really suit the top two in the Championship as well as the big pack of teams chasing sixth place.

Blades boss Chris Wilder said he was not scared to lose this game but will he throw caution to the wind in the final few minutes?

The whole game has been fiercely contested but we're yet to see any real moments of individual quality.
