John Fleck's delivery gets to the head of big defender Jack O'Connell but Owls striker Steven Fletcher is there to block before it's booted away.

Another Sheffield Wednesday free-kick, this time for a Chris Basham foul on Rolando Aarons, is cleared by the Blades and they charge down the other end.

However, the Owls' defenders get back in numbers and clear it away for a corner.

Down the other end the Blades link up nicely down their right before Oliver Norwood's shot from the edge of the area flashes across goal.

Nice open start to this half.

George Boyd hangs up a cross into the Blades area and Steven Fletcher goes for a spectacular overhead kick.

It goes high into the stand but the Scot has recent form for those, having scored a beauty against Swansea last week.

The Owls get us back under way.

They've made a change at the break, with George Boyd coming on for Fernando Forestieri.

We're moments away from the start of the second half.

Can Sheffield United get the win to take them back to second or will Sheffield Wednesday get the points they need to keep their play-off hopes alive or, whisper it, are we looking at a third straight goalless draw in the Steel City derby?

The former is getting some treatment but the free-kick will be for the hosts.

The Blades win a free-kick on the Wednesday left after a poor tackle by Liam Palmer on Kieran Dowell.

Oliver Norwood sends the ball into the area with pace and it's headed away for a corner.

Barry Bannan goes for a more lofted effort on his latest free-kick but the end result is the same.

The visitors will be pleased with how well they have dealt with the Scotsman's deliveries so far this evening.

The Blades are enjoying couple of minutes of possession at the moment.

It's been as even as the scoreline suggests so far but, and I might be tempting fate here, I don't see it ending goalless as it did earlier this season.

Barry Bannan's hanging effort causes a bit more consternation on this occasion but the Blades eventually get it away.

The hosts just about shading it so far.
