  2. So comfortable for Kazakhstanpublished at 17:05 Greenwich Mean Time 21 March 2019

    FT: Kazakhstan 3-0 Scotland

Just to emphasise Willie Miller's point, that was just a fifth win in 38 competitive home games for Kazakhstan.

It might well be the easiest too.

  3. No defence for 'embarrassing performance'published at 17:02 Greenwich Mean Time 21 March 2019

    FT: Kazakhstan 3-0 Scotland

    Willie Miller
Former Scotland defender on BBC Radio Scotland

    Quote Message

Kazakhstan have no history of winning games and it's an embarrassing performance by Scotland. The players looked leggy and disinterested in the second half. The three goals we lost, you can't give them away against any team. Alex McLeish will know that and can't defend that performance.

David Skeoch: Eck must be sacked after that. I hope he has enough about him to be man enough to walk away , but I doubt it.

Kevin Hunter: I would take a poor result , this was an abomination of a result.

Martyn Paterson: Absolute shocker and no hiding place for McLeish or his team! The only positive is that most folk were working and didn’t have to witness it.

James King: Thank goodness they didn’t risk the Killie players on a plastic pitch.

The shock of the early two goals completely threw Scotland. The players haven't gone about their business the right away. It was so important to get the campaign off to a good start and it's all gone wrong.

A flick at the near post from Kazakhstan substitute Serikzhan Muzhikov needs saving from Scott Bain.

Not much more of this agony to endure as the clock ticks down.

Every part of Kazakhstan's game tonight has been tremendous, Scotland the complete opposite. They don't even look as if they know their jobs. Same old, same old, I'm afraid

Better from Scotland. Nice reverse pass from Oli Burke but good defending again from Kazakhstan. They're just sitting waiting and Scotland will have to catch them out of shape, which hasn't happened so far.

  20. Postpublished at 63 mins

    Kazakhstan 3-0 Scotland

Oli Burke does well to turn the ball back across goal but, yet again, the first man to the loose ball is in yellow, a defender getting a toe in before James Forrest.
