West Ham Women's managing director Jack Sullivan tells the BBC Red Button:

"It was a really cagey half. I feel like whoever gets the first goal will go on and win it. Hopefully we can get that break.

"We're one step away from a really fabulous finish, but if the run ends here, we'll still say it was a [successful] first season.

"We sold 300 tickets for this game and we asked for more, so they gave us 700 tickets. Hopefully we can get 1,500 or 2,000 people at our games next year."

    Reading 0-0 West Ham

After some neat play down their right, West Ham force a corner.

When the delivery comes in, Gilly Flaherty does well to jump highest and meet it in the middle, but she heads it well over the bar.

  7. WATCH: Williams' free-kick clips the crossbarpublished at 13:14 British Summer Time 14 April 2019

As we approach half-time, Fara Williams' opportunistic free-kick for Reading has been the closest either side have come to breaking the deadlock.

Reading are playing some good stuff in the middle of the park, but their final ball has been lacking a bit, so far this afternoon.

West Ham's Cho So-Hyun pulls back Lauren Bruton and the Royals win a free-kick, around 35 to 40 yards from goal, in a central position.

This looks painful. West Ham's Claire Rafferty accidentally catches Fara Williams' head with her foot, with Williams on the ground and Rafferty landing after challenging for an aerial ball.

The Royals' medical team are just patching up England's most-capped player. She might need a couple of stitches, but she's OK overall.

    Reading 0-0 West Ham

Neither side has been able to assert their authority on this contest yet. It's evenly poised, with just over 10 minutes to go in the first half.

In case you're wondering, if these two sides can't be separated after 90 minutes today, we'll be set for extra time and maybe even penalties at Adams Park.

England head coach Phil Neville and Lionesses fans will be watching on nervously here, as Reading midfielder Jade Moore needs some treatment on the field, just a couple of months away from the World Cup.

But thankfully for all concerned, Moore is quickly back up on her feet, and it looks like she'll be OK to carry on, thanks to a bit of the good old 'magic spray'. Is that what it's called these days?

Wales manager and former Reading boss on BBC Sport

“Reading manager Kelly Chambers seems to be holding both full-backs a bit deeper today so they don’t get caught out by West Ham’s counter-attacks.”

This time it's Lauren Bruton with the cross in to the box for Reading, aimed towards Rachel Furness, but West Ham keeper Anna Moorhouse comes out to claim it with both hands.

Reading work the ball well out towards their right wing, but Rachel Furness' cross towards Fara Williams is a bit too deep.

Neither goalkeeper has been too busy, just yet.

West Ham break quickly and Jane Ross plays in Leanne Kiernan, but Reading's Jo Potter gets back well to put in the block and avert the danger.

  18. CLOSE!published at 20 mins

    Reading 0-0 West Ham

Reading almost take the lead, but Fara Williams' curling effort direct from the free-kick clips the top of the bar and goes over.

West Ham keeper Anna Moorhouse might have just about had it covered. But everyone seemed to be expecting a cross. That was inventive from Williams, and nearly the opening goal.

Hammers boss Matt Beard looks a tad concerned. He needs more from his side going forward.
