No immediate reaction from Burnley following that early goal. Bournemouth seem content to let them have possession though.

Palace have started well, They're moving the ball very well.

Newcastle, playing three at the back, can't deal with the 4-3-3 of Palace. They seem to be outnumbering them in certain areas of the park.

    Newcastle 0-0 Crystal Palace

Palace are playing some lovely stuff. Patrick van Aanholt gets in on the left but the flag goes up as his inviting cross swings into the centre.

    Newcastle haven't got going yet.

GOAL - Bournemouth 1-0 Burnleypublished at 15:04 British Summer Time 6 April 2019

    Ashley Barnes (own goal)

The worst possible start for Burnley.

Ryan Fraser's cross is whipped into the box and Jefferson Lerma gets a crucial touch on it. His nod-on is set-up for Nathan Ake to attack and Ashley Barnes ends up heading it into his own net under the pressure.

    Oh dear.

    Chris Waddle
Ex-Newcastle winger on BBC Radio 5 Live at St James' Park

Newcastle are playing three at the back with two wing-backs. Both these sides like to play on the counter-attack and will be thinking 'a win here will make us safe in the Premier League for another year'. There's an incentive for that but a point would still be a great result.

  6. CLOSE!published at 15:03 British Summer Time 6 April 2019

    Newcastle 0-0 Crystal Palace

Michy Batshuayi, Wilfried Zaha and Andros Townsend are all involved in the build-up as the ball comes to Jeffrey Schlupp on the left side of the box.

He takes a step to his left and drags a shot across goal. It skips dangerously past the keeper's left post...

    Huddersfield 0-0 Leicester

Harvey Barnes looks lively. He makes a darting run down the left and makes it all the way to the backline. Tommy Smith keeps with him the entire way and blocks the cut-back. It deflects back off Barnes and out for a goalkick. Solid defending.

  8. KICK-OFFpublished at 15:00 British Summer Time 6 April 2019

Off we go. Three Premier League games underway. If there's fewer than four goals at the Vitality, I'll be disappointed.

I'll take 10 goals in all three games.

Stands are slowly filling up at St James' Park. Most of the fans look calm and relaxed. They're enjoying the sunshine!

Bit more of a nervous atmosphere in Bournemouth. The visiting fans are already in their seats. Big day for them...

This is a meeting of two sides who could be forgiven for having half an eye on next season already.

Within days of their relegation, Huddersfield chairman Dean Hoyle was quick to describe his club as being "in its best position in modern memory" while re-affirming that Jan Siewert will remain in charge for the foreseeable future despite losing eight of his nine games in charge.

Brendan Rodgers' impact at Leicester has already been evident. They are seeking a fourth straight win and will be desperate to finish strongly with European football still a possibility for next term.

Leicester won their last away game despite playing with 10 men for 86 minutes. There seems no logical reason not to expect them to inflict a 13th home defeat of the season on the Terriers.

  12. Burnley 'have shown typical character and resilience'published at 14:49 British Summer Time 6 April 2019

    Bournemouth v Burnley (15:00 BST)

    Steve Bower
    Match of the Day commentator

Burnley would dearly love to record back-to-back victories and clinch the win that would virtually guarantee Premier League football again next season.

It would take them eight points clear of Cardiff, who are their next opponents at Turf Moor, and be reward for recovering from what has been a testing campaign in which they have shown typical character and resilience.

Despite Bournemouth's recent difficulties, the Clarets will be aware of the fact that only four visiting league teams have won at the Vitality Stadium this season.

The Cherries have not won any of their past three home matches, and boss Eddie Howe will be determined to oversee a change of fortune against his former club and take his current one above the 40-point mark.

Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers: "You can't go into a Premier League game, if you are any team, and be less than 100%.

"The results have been difficult for them, they have had a change of manager as well. They have very good players, great qualities and we are wary of that."

Warm-ups are fully underway at all the grounds. Looks like a sunny day at the Vitality Stadium too. Could be tricky for the keepers at set-pieces... will that play into Burnley's hands?

Newcastle v Crystal Palace (15:00 BST)

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson: "They have an incredible support up there [Newcastle], they are a good team and are very strong at home which we're aware of. I have no doubt they'll be safe at the end of the season.

"When you go to places like Newcastle where the fans are as football focused as they are, there's no doubt that the people who go to that game have one thought in their mind: to see their team beat you.

"It's a big ask to go there and win games. It's a short turnaround for us this week which is never easy but I'm hoping I'll see a good reaction and we'll go up and give them the type of game which will enable us to pick up points."

  16. Both clubs 'within touching distance of survival'published at 14:39 British Summer Time 6 April 2019

So close but not quite safe yet, both of these clubs are within touching distance of survival.

Newcastle have soared clear of the relegation zone on the back of their terrific home form. It's five wins in a row now, with Salomon Rondon and Ayoze Perez thrilling the Geordie faithful with their regular goal supply.

Palace have a terrible record at St James' Park but have produced their best results on the road this season, most spectacularly at Manchester City in December.

Tempting fate I know, but I can't see a repeat of their goalless draw at Selhurst Park in September.

  17. 'You never know when you will come back'published at 14:36 British Summer Time 6 April 2019

    Huddersfield v Leicester (15:00 BST)

Huddersfield Town head coach Jan Siewert: "It's about enjoying playing in the Premier League because you never know when you will come back to the Premier League.

"It's more about when can you play Leicester the next time? When can these players play Liverpool? When can they play Watford?

"The challenge for the players is to go into each game with the disappointment but knowing there is still something to achieve."

Newcastle v Crystal Palace (15:00 BST)

Rafael Benitez, Newcastle United managerImage source, Getty Images

Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez: "They [Palace] are good away because they are compact and have pace and ability up front.

"The main thing for us is not to waste too much energy on points, just concentrate on our game. Forty could be enough but we will concentrate on our game.

"My message to the players is to be on the front-foot but Palace are very dangerous."

  19. 'I don't see it ending goalless'published at 14:30 British Summer Time 6 April 2019

    Bournemouth v Burnley (15:00 BST)

Burnley got an important win over Wolves last weekend and they have got some breathing space above the bottom three, which could be important when you consider the Clarets still have to play Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal.

Looking at the table, a draw would be a good result for Sean Dyche's side here. That would leave them six points above third-bottom Cardiff, and with a much-superior goal difference.

That's what I think they will get too. It might be quite a cagey affair, but when David Brooks and Callum Wilson are playing the Cherries always look more dangerous, and I don't see it ending goalless.

    Prediction: 1-1

  20. 'Put ourselves in a decent position'published at 14:26 British Summer Time 6 April 2019

Burnley manager Sean Dyche: "There is always a slight shift in mentality when you win, but the demand has been good here anyway.

"The lads have been full of energy this week and we're ready to go.

"There's more to be done before the end of the season, but we've put ourselves in a decent position."
