St Johnston manager Tommy Wright on BBC Radio Scotland: "I’m extremely disappointed - it was nowhere near what I was expecting.

"We didn’t start the game well, no tempo, our decision making was poor. The lack of physical effort early on was probably the most disappointing thing.

"It was lacklustre, poor individually and poor collectively. Probably only Richard Foster comes out with any credit today."

Celtic's draw at home to Livingston means Rangers fans can rest a bit easy because even a defeat away to Motherwell tomorrow means their city rivals will have a longer wait for the title.

Steven Gerrard's side can concentrate at Fir Park on stretching the five-point lead between themselves and Kilmarnock and Aberdeen in the race for the runners-up spot.

St Mirren manager Oran Kearney on BBC Radio Scotland: "It was a big performance throughout the team and just disappointing we didn't take our chances in a game of this magnitude.

"We feel we should have won, but Vaclav Hladky makes a wonder save at the end, so we could easily be coming away with nothing."

Hamilton manager Brian Rice on BBC Radio Scotland: "I haven't seen the penalty again, but the ref has given it, so there's no point arguing about it.

"I'm sure one day we'll get one. If you go to ground in your box, you give the referee a decision to make.

"It was naive of Ziggy, but an honest mistake. I'll go in there and put an arm around him - and maybe punch him!"

There was a real thriller in Cumbernauld as Clyde came from 3-1 down to draw with League Two leaders Peterhead.

With second-top Edinburgh City suffering a surprise 4-1 thumping away to Cowdenbeath, a Blue Toon win would have just about wrapped up the title.

But the draw and the result at Central Park still gives Jim McInally's side a commanding six-point lead against City and the Bully Wee with four games remaining.

Peterhead can only throw it away now.

Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes tells BBC Scotland he thought his side deserved the win but that it "wasn't all plain sailing".

"We got good control of the game, but were guilty of giving the ball away and not showing enough confidence and care on the ball and allowed Dundee to counter-attack on us a few times in the first half," he says.

"The first goal is important in these games, but I thought the performance of each and every player went up a couple of notches in the second.

"We've got a semi-final to look froward to so now we want to gives ourselves the best chance against the best team in the country."

Arbroath are now one point away from lifting the League One title after their 1-0 win over Montrose.

They are 12 points ahead of Raith Rovers, who were held to a draw away to bottom side Stenhousemuir.

Forfar missed a chance to move into second after losing away to Stranraer, who move above Brechin City, who lost at Dumbarton, and out of the relegation play-off place.

Celtic manager Neil Lennon tells Sportsound it was a "very frustrating afternoon" and he is "pleased with the overall performance but not the scoreline".

"We missed our killer touch, but the players kept going," he says. "Ultimately, we didn't get the win we wanted.

"I’m disappointed we didn’t have enough clear-cut chances. But we can take a lot of positives and we’re looking forward to the cup semi-final next weekend."

Ayr's rapid fall from the top of the Championship continues after a home defeat that allows visitors Inverness to move above them into third place, although Ian McCall's side have two games in hand.

Dunfermline's second-half collapse away to Partick Thistle means they are now six behind Ayr, having played a game more, in the race for a promotion play-off place.

Thistle's point moves them out the relegation play-off spot above Falkirk, who suffered a home derby defeat by Alloa. The Wasps are now level on points with the Bairns.

Dundee manager Jim McIntyre is hopeful his side can escape relegation despite falling further behind St Mirren and Hamilton at the bottom of the Premiership.

"We know what we have to do after the league split," he tells BBC Scotland.

"It's looking like we are going to have to win at least four out the five games, but there's still a lot of football left to be played."

Kilmarnock manager Steve Clarke tells Sportsound it was a "comfortable" win for them against St Johnstone.

"A good performance from start to finish," he says. "Good control of the game, but we could have made it a more embarrassing score for St Johnstone.

"Kris Boyd has had to be patient and wait for his chance. It was nice to see him on the score sheet even with a penalty."

Dundee manager Jim McIntyre tells BBC Scotland his side deserved more against Aberdeen.

"It is another defeat and a real disappointment considering what we put into the game," he says.

"Up until the penalty kick, we were right in the match and I thought we were the better side in the second half, but goals change games."
