Hearts have been getting a lot of joy going short. The little balls into Cochrane and Djoum have been working. That’s why they're back in this match.

Jermain Defoe picks up a yellow card for trampling on a tender area of Bobby Burns' anatomy after a tussle between the pair. No suggestion of a stamp, so just a booking.

Hearts have scored a good goal worked though the middle of the park. Rangers will be bitterly disappointed they’ve not kept a clean sheet.

The remaining Hearts fans are rewarded with a fine goal. A few quick passes zip through the visitors and Jake Mulraney swings a lofted cross in from the left. Steven MacLean throws himself at it and steers his header into the bottom corner.

I's a very good performance from Rangers which shows that if you handle Ikpeazu Hearts don't have any idea how to attack.

Another one for Rangers? No. Jermain Defoe is in acres of space, with Scott Arfield for company but messes up his pass at the edge of the Hearts penalty area. I'm not sure why he was passing it from there when the shot was on.

Hearts do like to take pride in their set ups at set pieces. That third goal was to do with players not doing their jobs. How can two players go in for a corner and you don’t get bodies out there? It’s just so simple. Candeais doesn’t have to do anything. He gets a lovely little angle and just whips it into the area. It’s just criminal from Hearts.

    Nikola Katic

Game over. Hearts are caught napping from a corner as Steven Davis plays it short to an unmarked Daniel Candeias. The winger whips in a lovely delivery and Niko Katic slides in at the back post to slam the ball home.

TV replays show that Davis didn't have the ball in the D for the set-piece, but the officials didn't spot it.
