When Liverpool lose the league, they will look back on the United game when half of our players went off injured within half an hour and wonder why they didn't push for the win. It looked a missed opportunity at the time. It looks like a whole lot worse now.

Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel: "We worked really hard, but our legs were heavy and we shouldn’t give Vincent Kompany time on the edge of the box like that.
"City are a top class side, and we have lost to the potential champions. I can’t see them losing their next game."

Denham: Just like virtually every other league in Europe... two horse races. Boring! (tongue-in-cheek)
Aaron: All this talk of Kompany winning the title for City... if you ask me, it was Sane. He scored the winning goal against Liverpool in January and from there, their charge wobbled significantly and when City caught up, they were never going to fall behind again
Manchester City 1-0 Leicester
Vincent Kompany was particularly emotional as he did his lap of appreciation. He has just scored the best goal of his life but you also wonder how many more games he will play at this stadium. He's 33 now.

Kevin Chadwick: Seeing a replay of that Iheanacho miss. The keeper was already moving to that side. Anything down the middle or to the right and it's a goal. Gutted but never seen City dropping points once they got past Tottenham
Tony Greaves: Only one straw left to be clutched at for Liverpool
Si's Insights: The force is with Pep wherever he goes, or so it seems.

It wasn't pretty, it was all about the result tonight.

Unbelievable how these two teams keep on winning. How can you have 94 points after 37 games and not be top of the league? Incredible.
Manchester City 1-0 Leicester
What a huge, huge goal from Vincent Kompany. He is hugged by every Manchester City player as Pep Guardiola unleashes his celebration in the technical area.

Harry Maguire is staying up front. Quite right too. It's a night for centre-back screamers. Ilkay Gundogan carries the ball clear but plays a poor pass...

From being called in from his warm-up to being ready to go on the side of the pitch, John Stones took about 20 seconds.
It's chaotic. But City won't mind that as long as they hold out.
