    Brighton 0-2 Arsenal

That change from Albion has certainly seen a little tweak as they chase the game now. Ellie Brazil has joined the front three and they're pressing Arsenal's defence a lot more, rather than just camping in their own half and then looking to counter.

It would be a monumental upset if Brighton got back into this match though.

  2. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 46 mins

    Brighton 0-2 Arsenal

A change for Brighton at half-time - Ellie Brazil has replaced Emily Simpkins.

  3. Postpublished at 46 mins

    Brighton 0-2 Arsenal

The second-half is under way at the Amex and if Arsenal close out this win, they'll be crowned WSL champions.

  4. Barcelona reach Champions League finalpublished at 13:16 British Summer Time 28 April 2019

Elsewhere this afternoon, Barcelona have reached the Women's Champions League final for the first time.

Congratulations to England forward Toni Duggan, who is a regular part of the Barca side.

They'll face either Chelsea or Lyon in the final in Hungary's capital, Budapest, on 18 May.

Coming up: Chelsea 1-2 Lyon (1-2 agg)

  7. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:04 British Summer Time 28 April 2019

    Brighton 0-2 Arsenal

Vivianne Miedema's stunning opener - a strike from the edge of the box that went in off the underside of the bar - and then Katie McCabe's calm finish after a beautiful floated through-ball from Miedema has put Arsenal on the verge of clinching the WSL title.

If it stays like this, they'll be champions for the first time since 2012.

  8. Postpublished at 45 mins

    Brighton 0-2 Arsenal

Albion have a dangerous free-kick of their own and it's completely wasted.

Captain Danielle Buet puts way too much on it and Sari van Veenendaal easily claims it.

Luckily, Arsenal's dominance means that's the first time I have had to type that.

  9. Postpublished at 41 mins

    Brighton 0-2 Arsenal

Vivianne Miedema's legs just aren't quite long enough to make it 3-0. The Arsenal striker reaches out after Dominique Bloodworth floats a free-kick over everyone and only Miedema is alert to it, but it's JUST too deep.

Brighton's Victoria Wiliams was booked for kicking the ball away before that free-kick was taken, by the way.

  10. CLOSE!published at 37 mins

    Brighton 0-2 Arsenal

Brighton have responded well to going 2-0 down. They throw more bodies forward straight away and only some last-ditch stuff from Katrine Veje stops a ball over the top reaching any number of Albion players waiting in the box.

But moments later, Arsenal work it down the right and Danielle van de Donk curls a great strike first time from the edge of the area - an excellent diving save from Brighton keeper Marie Hourihan sends it behind for a corner.

From the set-piece Victoria Williams clears off the line! A frantic few minutes.

That should be that - Arsenal are on the verge of becoming WSL champions.

The goal then. A lot is talked about Vivianne Miedema's goals, but after some patient passing by her team-mates she floats a deft pass from the edge of the box for Katie McCabe to latch on to and she calmy finishes.

Miedema now has 10 WSL assists this season to go with her 22 goals - wow.

  12. YELLOW CARDpublished at 27 mins

    Brighton 0-1 Arsenal

Hope Powell's side have definitely taken the sting out of Arsenal here, part of that's been denying them as much space. Kayleigh Green overdoes it though and makes a late foul on the halfway line - the Brighton midfielder goes in the referee's notebook as a consequence.

  13. Postpublished at 24 mins

    Brighton 0-1 Arsenal

"Curse of the text commentator" is that a thing? Well whatever, but since I wrote that I thought Arsenal could be heading towards a hefty win, Brighton do seem to have got to grips with them a bit better.

Precious little for Albion in terms of attacks though so it's pretty tough going.

Arsenal remember are WSL champions if they close out victory here.

  14. Postpublished at 20 mins

    Brighton 0-1 Arsenal

Beth Mead is getting some real joy down the channels for Arsenal, and the England striker again gets in behind - this time on the right.

She pulls the ball back but Brighton manage to scramble the ball clear with Vivianne Miedema lurking to try and score her 32nd goal of the season.

Danielle van de Donk needs a mention by the way. The Dutch midfielder's popping up all over the pitch, dictating the game at the moment.

I am going to put myself out there and say unless something miraculous happens, this could end up being a drubbing. Arsenal look several classes above Albion here.

Not many chances to speak of, but Joe Montemurro's team are passing the ball around superbly and Brighton can't lay a hand on them.

  16. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 10 mins

    Brighton 0-1 Arsenal

Almost a fortuitous goal for Arsenal as the ball seems to be running out for a goal-kick, but Lisa Evans won't give it up and her cross slices slightly, goes over the keeper's head and deflects away off the bar.

    That, would've been that.

WOW. What a strike that is from Vivianne Miedema! The ball comes loose on the edge of the box and she hammers home off the underside of the bar.

    No chance for the keeper.

That's 22 WSL goals in 19 games this season - Brighton have scored 12 altogether!!!

Beth Mead didn't quite connect with the ball properly there, but you can already see the threat that she and Vivianne Miedema can pose going forward.

  19. Postpublished at 2 mins

    Brighton 0-0 Arsenal

Lovely start from Arsenal, patient build-up sent Vivianne Miedema down the left channel who nicely pulled the ball back for England striker Beth Mead on the edge of the box but she slices well wide.

    Ominous passing football there though.
