    BBC Sport at Anfield

The fans are still urging their team on but I get the sense, on the pitch and off it, no-one believes Liverpool's wait to be crowned Premier League champions will come to an end today.

It is truly incredible though. Ninety-seven points but no trophy.

Manchester City know a third goal will, in all likelihood, settle this game and the Premier League title race but they are currently being a little too deliberate in their approach.

Brighton aren't just parking the bus to be fair. There's the whiff of a goal threat when they do come forwards and Ederson has to be alive to cut out a through-ball. Raheem Sterling then does well to hook the ball across goal and Sergio Aguero misses his shot. Ilkay Gundogan then has hit shot charged down.
