That's it from us for tonight.

Tranmere will play Newport in the League Two play-off final after a 2-1 aggregate win over 10-man Forest Green.

You can read the report here.

A game that was full of endeavour, some decent football and, perhaps most memorably, Premier League referee Mike Dean stood up on a barrier in the away end going wild at the end.

    The play-offs, eh?

Anyway, we'll be back on Tuesday at 19:30 BST with West Brom v Aston Villa in the Championship play-offs.

Thanks for your company and enjoy the rest of your evening and indeed week.

Our next instalment of play-off action comes in the Championship on Tuesday, as Aston Villa take a one-goal lead into the second leg of their semi-final with neighbours West Bromwich Albion.

Albion had led Saturday's first leg at Villa Park, but Tammy Abraham's penalty completed the turnaround and the Baggies also had Dwight Gayle sent off late on, meaning he'll be suspended for the return leg at The Hawthorns.

It might be a minute or two until we get any reaction as the home stewards try and clear the Tranmere fans from the pitch.

Joseph Mills had put Forest Green ahead on the night and level in the tie, but James Norwood's volley was decisive.

Their fans spill out on to The New Lawn pitch and PREMIER LEAGUE REFEREE MIKE DEAN IS STOOD UP LEADING THE CHANTS IN THE AWAY END! My word.

Forest Green striker Christian Doidge is penalised for a foul which rather sums up his night to be honest.

The 10-man hosts launch a free-kick into the Tranmere area but the ball won't land for a shot at goal and eventually Joseph Mills inadvertently knocks it out for a goal kick.

James Norwood's attempt to take the ball into the corner for a third time are thwarted by an untimely slip.

The Tranmere striker's 32nd goal of the season is sending his side to Wembley, as it stands.

    Five minutes left now.

It's going to take something special for Tranmere not to be facing Newport in the League Two play-off final but after the last week we've had I wouldn't be heading for the exit just yet if I were a Forest Green fan.

Tranmere striker James Norwood goes for goal rather than the corner flag this time but his effort from the edge of the area flashes over the crossbar.

Into the final 10 minutes now.

Can the 10-man hosts force extra-time? They've got a corner as Lee Collins makes way for Shawn McCoulsky but it's cleared away.

Good play from Micky Mellon's side sees them win a corner and just continue to eat some more time out of the clock.

Forest Green clear it away but they can't get out at the moment.

Forest Green 1-1 Tranmere (1-2 agg)

Tranmere have just got to manage the game from now on.

They've looked good when they have rarely forayed forwards since the break but they've no real need to attack now.

A handball gives them a free-kick 20 yards into the Forest Green half.

  19. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 70 mins

A second sub for the 10-man hosts, as Lloyd James comes on for Dayle Grubb.

  20. RED CARD: Carl Winchester (Forest Green)published at 67 mins

Forest Green 1-1 Tranmere (1-2 agg)

I said Carl Winchester needed to be careful. Well, he hasn't been.

Booked at the end of the first half for dissent, he's been sent off after a tangle of legs with Tranmere striker James Norwood.

I have to say, from the replays it looks really harsh.
