    Tottenham 2-2 Everton

The final 20 minutes of this one is how I had hoped the whole game would be, but that late flurry of goals was entertaining enough to make up for it.

Neither manager appears happy to settle for a point either...

    Tottenham 2-2 Everton

Everton are pressing for a late winner here.

They earn a corner, which is whipped in by Lucas Digne but it's too close to Hugo Lloris.

    Tottenham 2-2 Everton

    Just 10 minutes to go!

We've had three goals in six minutes, so there's plenty of time for a late winner...

A double change for Tottenham, as Oliver Skipp and Vincent Janssen come on for Erik Lamela and Fernando Llorente.

    Christian Eriksen (75 mins)

    WHAT IS GOING ON.

Christian Eriksen levels the scores with a delightful free-kick from just outside the area.

    More please.

    Cenk Tosun (72 mins)

    Well, well, well.

It's a scrappy one, but Everton bundle the ball over the line to complete a very quick turnaround at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

It's Cenk Tosun who manages to get the ball over the line, but there were about four or five blue shirts surrounding Hugo Lloris in case, against all odds, he managed to keep it out.

  8. goal

GOAL - Tottenham 1-1 Evertonpublished at 16:26 British Summer Time 12 May 2019

    Theo Walcott (69 mins)

    As I was saying...

It's a really nice finish from Theo Walcott, who cuts in from the right of the box and places a shot into the opposite corner, beyond the reach of the outstretched Hugo Lloris.

A deserved equaliser on the balance of play.

    Tottenham 1-0 Everton

Plenty of cheers have just rung out from the Everton fans, as news filters through that Man City are closing in on the Premier League title - at the expense of Liverpool...

There's not a lot for either set of fans to cheer in terms of this game at present.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 65 mins

    Tottenham 1-0 Everton

Andre Gomes is coming on for Everton. He may or may not still be at Goodison next season.

    Idrissa Gueye makes way.

    Tottenham 1-0 Everton

A few Spurs players are beginning to show signs of tiredness from their midweek exertions.

Moussa Sissoko had started to look like one of those players, but he does well to get back with a strong challenge as Everton threatened to break.

    Tottenham 1-0 Everton

In the almost non-existent race for the top-four, there's been a goal for Arsenal at Burnley. If it stays like that and Tottenham lose this by eight...

Even in a week as mad as this, surely not.

    Tottenham 1-0 Everton

    ... No, they cannot.

It's easily cleared by an Everton defence that is much more sure of itself than it was at the beginning of the contest.

    Tottenham 1-0 Everton

    Corner to Spurs.

Everton switch off at the back, allowing Christian Eriksen the opportunity to try his luck from just outside the area.

    Can Spurs make them pay?

    Tottenham 1-0 Everton

Back to the football then and Everton have continued where they left off at the end of the first half.

Tottenham are allowing Everton to sit further up the pitch, seemingly with a view to catching them out on the break. No success so far.

    Fan on the pitch!

    Typical final day comedy.

He lures the stewards into a false sense of security with a light jog to the centre-circle, but surges away from the orange vests that are closing in on him from all angles.

The attempted sprint doesn't last very long though and he's quickly closed down, slipping over before bringing a steward down with him.

And with that, his moment in the spotlight is over.

Player of the season: Lucas Digne

Signing of the season: Lucas Digne

Goal of the season: Gylfi Sigurdsson (Leicester 1-2 Everton, 6 October 2018)

Disappointment of the season: Another season of frustration for Ademola Lookman – just three league starts.

Mark for manager (out of 10): 7 Free flowing, attacking football has established a much needed identity at the club. Stuck to his guns with zonal marking and it’s paid off with eight clean sheets in the last 10 games.

Mark for season (out of 10): 6 Some great highs, some desperate lows (Millwall in the FA Cup) and Everton have ended up where they were last season. However, this time there’s momentum, optimism and identity and a much greater foundation for the future as opposed to the bleak outlook that festered under Sam Allardyce this time last year.

That's it for the first half!

Strong start for Tottenham, strong finish from Everton.

But it's Eric Dier's third minute goal that separates the sides at the break!

A free-kick to Eveton right at the end of the first half...

And Lucas Digne hits the wall.

It looked like Gylfi Sigurdsson was best placed to take that given the position of the wall, but Digne has proven this season he isn't a bad back-up to have.

    Just not on this occasion.
