  5. YELLOW CARD - Lewis Dunkpublished at 88 mins

    Watford 0-3 Brighton

Watford seem to have consigned themselves to defeat but Lewis Dunk almost just handed a chance to Isaac Success, playing the ball back in his own half but Mat Ryan just got there in the nick of time.

Dunk then goes into the book after bringing down Roberto Pereyra on the edge of the box. Comes to nothing.

  6. Postpublished at 82 mins

    Watford 0-3 Brighton

Goalscorer Florin Andone seems to be in some pain as he receives treatment on the pitch. All good though, and Brighton have just under 10 minutes to go until the three points are confirmed.

Vicarage Road is quiet. Very quiet.

Not how they will have wanted to start the season.

  8. goal

GOAL - Watford 0-3 Brightonpublished at 77 mins

    Neal Maupay

What a way to celebrate your debut.

An excellent through ball finds Neal Maupay, he stays calm and composed to take it past Ben Foster before rolling it in.

It's referred to VAR but no issue at all.

Isaac Success comes on from Andre Gray.

  10. Postpublished at 72 mins

    Watford 0-2 Brighton

Watford have lost their mojo here. That second Brighton goal has taken the wind out of their sails.

  11. Postpublished at 67 mins

    Watford 0-2 Brighton

A chance for Watford as debutant Craig Dawson heads a cross towards goal but it's too close to Mat Ryan.

Brighton then take the ball up the other end and earn a corner. Pascal Gross is in no rush as he walks over to take it.

He floats it in but everyone misses it and it curls out for a goal-kick.

GOAL - Watford 0-2 Brightonpublished at 65 mins

    Florin Andone

Now that's what you call an impact.

Davy Propper fires in a cross from the right wing and Florin Andone, with virtually his first touch of the game, bangs it in from close range.

    Brighton in cruise control now.

  13. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 64 mins

    No messing about there.

  15. Postpublished at 59 mins

    Watford 0-1 Brighton

Will Hughes is brought down on the edge of the box by Dale Stephens and this is a good chance for Watford. Jose Holebas and Roberto Pereyra are stood over the ball.

Pereyra takes it but it smashes into the wall. He runs straight up to referee Craig Pawson shouting for a handball but the ref's not having it.

Hang on, it's going to VAR...

    Watford 0-1 Brighton

A nice one-two out on the Watford wing starts some clever play from the hosts, Abdoulaye Doucoure at the heart of it. He wants to make up for that own goal.

Ultimately it comes to nothing but Watford have found their feet in this second half.

    Watford 0-1 Brighton

    Brighton, you lucky things.

Solly March is dispossessed in the box by Kiko Femenia, who passes it back to Andre Gray. He hits it hard at goal but Lewis Dunk manages to block it on the line.

Silly Solly. What a relief for him.

  18. Postpublished at 49 minutes

    Watford 0-1 Brighton

It's absolutely hammering it down in Hertfordshire. A far cry from the glorious sunshine of the first half.

It's a slow start to this second 45 though, although Roberto Pereyra is here, there and everywhere, all over the pitch.

  19. Postpublished at 47 mins

    Watford 0-1 Brighton

Brighton captain Lewis Dunk goes close and he's frustrated he didn't score.

Glenn Murray glances the ball onto him from a corner but I'm not sure Dunk was expecting it to reach him, it bounces off him and out for a goal kick.

  20. Second half under waypublished at 46 mins

    Watford 0-1 Brighton

Second half is go with Watford making a substitution at half-time.

Gerard Deulofeu goes off, with Roberto Pereyra on in his place.
