  2. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 17:04 British Summer Time 26 June 2019

Guinea had made a change as Nigeria waited to take the corner they scored from. Dyrestam Mikael replaced Ousmane Sidibe.

  3. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 76 mins

Nigeria want a penalty as Ahmed Musa's cross hits an arm. The referee says no and we have no VAR in the group stages.

But a replay shows it was a shoulder - and next to the body - so even in these crazy handball times, that wouldn't have been a penalty.

  4. goal

    Kenneth Omeruo

Nigeria answered my pleas quicker than I expected. Moses Simon whips in a good corner, and Kenneth Omeruo glances a header past Ibrahim Kone.

The Super Eagles are heading to six points from two games.

Alex Iwobi's shot is blocked and it's another corner to Nigeria.

WOULD SOMEBODY JUST SCORE A GOAL PLEASE?

  6. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 70 mins

Naby Keita is replaced, although the Guinea midfielder is able to walk off the pitch. He had come back on again following the injury.

Lass Bangoura is on to replace him.

Nigeria building some momentum here. Wilfred Ndidi having another good game and Ahmed Musa looks dangerous when he’s in full flight.

Naby Keita went down off the ball again. Have to admire his courage to do all he can for his country and at times the spark has been there but clearly far from 100%.

Free-kick to Nigeria, Peter Etebo's shot is down the centre and Ibrahim Kone punches when he may as well have caught it.

  9. YELLOW CARDpublished at 66 mins

Guinea defender Ernest Seka is booked for pulling Odion Ighalo down by the arm.

  10. Postpublished at 64 mins

Down he goes again. Naby Keita is on the floor for at least the fourth time, this time while chasing the ball. The referee calls for the medics.

jalquin91: Naby Keita needs to stay on his feet if he's to make any meaningful impact on this game. Disappointing for Liverpool, and I'm afraid to say disappointing for Guinea at this stage too.

  12. YELLOW CARDpublished at 62 mins

Taking one for the team. Francois Kamano starts a lightning quick attack for Guinea and Ahmed Musa - the only man quick enough to catch him - brings him down. Yellow card.

Now Alex Iwobi goes close with a fine curling effort from 20 yards out which Guinea's keeper does well to parry away.

Brilliant run by Nigeria's Ahmed Musa from his own half. He speeds past one defender and dances past another. As he reaches the box he tries to find Odion Ighalo but his cross is cut out. Ighalo would never have passed if he was in that position.

A draw would give Nigeria a good chance of qualifying and keep Guinea in the mix. With four third-placed teams going into the last 16, there's every chance four points takes you through.

  16. Postpublished at 57 mins

Nigeria defender Kenneth Omeruo, one of those Chelsea guys who keeps going out on loan, tries a clever outside-of-foot cross which goes straight into the Guinea keeper's hands.

  17. Postpublished at 56 mins

They do have a corner now as Wilfried Ndidi's cross is put behind but Moses Simon's effort is cleared.

  18. Postpublished at 55 mins

A good one-two down the right from Nigeria's Chidozie Awaziem and Moses Simon, but the winger tries and fails to win a corner with a cross. Goal-kick.

  19. Postpublished at 54 mins

Guinea going back to the tried and trusted plan of the first half of shooting from distance. Francois Kamano slams one wide from 25 yards.

  20. Postpublished at 52 mins

Ball bounces around the Guinea area but Odion Ighalo can't get a shot in.
