It's a first Scottish Premiership goal this season for promoted Ross County as Joe Chalmers bends the ball past Owain Fon Williams after Billy Mckay keeps the attack alive on the edge of the area.

Big chance for St Mirren to take the lead in Leith. Paul McGinn bursts into the box to reach a lovely through ball, but Paul Hanlon tracks him all the way to slide and deflect his shot wide.

Hibs have been pretty sloppy in this first half and the Buddies are looking largely untroubled.

Another penalty claim against Hamilton as Aaron McGowan clears from inside the penalty area. BBC pundit Billy Dodds contends that this is now the problem with hand ball as penalties "are being given willy nilly".

While United are enjoying the passing game, Caley Thistle are more about the long ball. It’s not having the desired effect just yet, but this one is enjoyable to watch.

Hibs are having a lot of the ball, but their distribution is slack and St Mirren are gobbling up the loose passes with little trouble.

The early indications are that this is going to be a tousy affair. There have been a lot of fouls in the opening stages as both sides look to stamp their physical presence on proceedings.

County players appeal in vain for a penalty at a corner with the hosts convinced the ball has struck the arm of Alex Gogic, but referee Alan Newlands is having none of it.

This is a very good period for the hosts, with Mbombo Bolingoli charging down the left before sending in a delightful delivery that Odsonne Edouard nods narrowly past the post, with the aid of a slight deflection.

The corner comes to nothing.
