  4. 'Celtic in good hands'published at 13:44 British Summer Time 3 August 2019

    Celtic v St Johnstone (15:00)

Celtic great Henrik Larsson, a former team-mate of current manager Neil Lennon, was on Sportsound last night to preview the new season.

And, while admitting he does not know the squad assembled at city rivals Rangers, he is confident his former club can have another successful year.

"I was very happy with Neil got the job again because I know he's a great manager," the former Sweden striker told David Currie. "I think they're in very good hands for the season.

"It will be ups and downs, but the main thing is that they keep on being consistent in the performances. If they could do that, hopefully we can get to nine in a row.

"I don't think it's going to be a burden. I think it's added pressure because it would be lovely if we could win nine in a row."

There's no doubt it is high in the minds of their fans - and among those bankrolling summer spending across the city at Ibrox designed to stop them.
