Right, that's your lot from another thrilling day in the EFL. What a lively start to the season we're enjoying.

The nights are still light, shirt sleeves still appropriate attire and the season still in its infancy but already a couple of teams are staking their claims to be involved in the big shake-up come May.

Nothing is won yet of course, but already a few teams are looking over their shoulders... or at least their managers are.

Anyway, we'll be back tomorrow with Reading and Cardiff finishing off the round of games from 11:45 BST.

    Thanks for joining us today.

It's the Infamous Five in the Championship who are still waiting for win number one.

Luton, Middlesbrough, Huddersfield and Stoke are all still winless after three games...

...Reading play Cardiff tomorrow, and they can leave that group with three points at the Mad-Stad.

Just six teams remain without defeat, and there are a few surprises in that pack.

Millwall under Neil Harris have kicked off the season nicely, winning two and drawing one. It's been resourceful too. Just three goals scored and one conceded.

Newboys Charlton too, left it late but they have seven points thanks to their draw today. Swansea boss Steve Cooper has made an excellent start to life there as well.

Leeds and West Brom are slightly less surprising, both were tipped to be in the mix and are doing so early doors. Derby too.

  5. League One full-time headlinespublished at 17:09 British Summer Time 17 August 2019

    • Lincoln City thrash Southend United 4-0 and Blackpool beat Oxford United 2-1 as both maintain their 100% starts in League One.

Right, let's have a look at how this afternoon unfolded in the Championship, League One, and League Two.

    Breathless fare from the EFL.

    Barnsley 2-2 Charlton

These two promoted sides delivered a thrilling advert for the Championship, as Charlton needed a late penalty equaliser from Lyle Taylor to keep them unbeaten in 2019-20.

Barnsley twice led, first from a wonderful volley by Cauley Woodrow, and then again Conor Chaplin shuffling and jinking his way to goal.

Conor Gallagher and Taylor goals were enough to keep the Addicks alert and alive.

Oakwell saw a real fine game, it's fair to say.

    Terrific result for Millwall, this.

Jed Wallace was sent off before half-time but the Lions have held on to beat Sheffield Wednesday, whose 100% start has come to an end.

    Stoke 2-2 Derby

Honours even in a proper Championship arm-wrestle at the Bet365 Stadium.

Stoke went behind early to Martyn Waghorn's goal, but turned it round to lead 2-1 thanks to goals from Liam Lindsay and Scott Hogan.

Waghorn got his second but was unable to find the crucial third, and the points were shared. Cracking game though.

  13. FULL-TIMEpublished at 16:57 British Summer Time 17 August 2019

    Luton 1-2 West Brom

Luton lose at home for the first time since March 2018, as Grady Diangana's terrific double in the second-half turned around a deficit for West Bromwich Albion.

Harry Cornick's first-half goal had a sold-out Kenliworth Road rocking, and you think if they play like that they'll be okay in the Championship.

Danny Graham's penalty against his former club gifts Blackburn all three points against Middlesbrough.

Not the result Jonathan Woodgate's side will have hoped for but much for Tony Mowbray to be happy about as his Rovers side bag a first league win of the season.

    Lyle Taylor (89 mins)

    Charlton get a late leveller!

Lyle Taylor walks up and prods it past Sami Radlinger with nonchalance and calm.

Conor Gallagher was brought down late on, two key involvements for him.

Big equaliser. Share of the points perhaps?
