Tierney played 63 minutes of the draw with Wolves U23 before being replaced.

"Class to be back!" he wrote on Instagram, external.

Fellow full-back Hector Bellerin also made his injury comeback on Friday, featuring alongside Tierney for the first time since January.

  9. 'Upset about cruelty of fate'published at 12:40 British Summer Time 22 September 2019

Crystal Palace v Wolves (14:00 BST)

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson: "They (Wolves) have had a few disappointing results, and they will be upset about the cruelty of fate. I watched their Europa League game and if a team was going to win, I thought it would be them, so to lose will be a bitter blow.

"I think they have been a bit unlucky. I would base my judgement more on the football they play, rather than the results."

West Ham v Man Utd (14:00 BST)

    Kevin Nolan
Former West Ham captain on BBC Radio 5 Live

West Ham didn't get going at Aston Villa on Monday but they’re starting to make the London Stadium a home. They can match Man Utd and I can see them causing an upset there.

The owners have backed Manuel Pellegrini and he’s brought in quality players. They’ve not had a striker who can get them 20 goals for a long time but Sebastian Haller looks like he could be that guy.

  17. Who are the teenage scorers?published at 12:20 British Summer Time 22 September 2019

It was a night when "dreams came true" for two emerging English talents on Thursday.

Manchester United and Arsenal struggled for large parts of their respective Europa League openers, but by the end two teenagers announced themselves on the senior stage.

First, 18-year-old academy graduate Bukayo Saka scored his first senior goal, and set-up Arsenal's other two, to help the Gunners beat Eintracht Frankfurt.

Then, 17-year-old Mason Greenwood, who has come through the United youth ranks, rescued Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side from a frustrating draw against Astana with his first goal for the club.

So who are they? What records have they broken and what are people saying about their futures?

Crystal Palace are weighing up whether to recall fit-again defender James Tomkins after he was named as a substitute last week at Tottenham.

James McArthur and Cheikhou Kouyate have both overcome recent injuries but Connor Wickham remains an absentee.

Wolves centre-back Willy Boly is available after a one-match league ban.

Fellow defender Ryan Bennett is also pushing for a recall, while forward Patrick Cutrone may keep his place after impressing in the Europa League.

  19. And at the bottom...published at 12:14 British Summer Time 22 September 2019

Down at the bottom it's all to play for.

Wolves are still seeking their first victory of the season having picked up three draws in five games.

They could jump as high as 15th with a win today, while Crystal Palace are just a point off the top 10 ahead of today's proceedings.

Aston Villa need a win to move out of the bottom three and West Ham could break into the top four if results go their way.

  20. How it looks at the toppublished at 12:12 British Summer Time 22 September 2019

It's not often you see Chelsea and Arsenal down in ninth and 10th place respectively but that's where they sit after the first five games of the season.

Both teams can jump up into the top four with victories today, though Manchester United could claim third place with a win over West Ham.

At the peak, Liverpool remain two points clear of Manchester City but they will want to regain their five-point advantage and make it six league wins in a row.
