  2. McKenna on the move?published at 18:58 British Summer Time 7 August 2019

Speculation surrounds the future of Aberdeen and Scotland defender Scott McKenna.

The 22-year-old has submitted a transfer request and attracted reported interest from Nottingham Forest and QPR, with clubs in England's Championship running out of time before tomorrow's transfer deadline.

Dons manager Derek McInnes addressed the media today ahead of tomorrow's Europa League meeting with Rijeka and insisted "nothing has changed with Scott".

And he added: "There's a degree of anger at clubs who are showing no consideration whatsoever about Aberdeen."

You'd have thought he'd be up to speed by now. These are massive games financially, status wise and Celtic want all their heavy hitters in there. Christopher Julien, given what he cost, must be considered a heavy hitter but he's clearly not ready. You have to wonder why

  8. Tierney and Sinclair absent and on the move?published at 18:49 British Summer Time 7 August 2019

    Cluj v Celtic (19:00)

Still no Kieran Tierney for Celtic, the Scotland left-back having been the subject of unsuccessful bids from Arsenal. Neil Lennon has just spoken to BBC Scotland pre-match and indicated there was no update on Tierney's situation.

However, he said of winger Scott Sinclair, who is also not in tonight's squad: "A bit of interest but nothing concrete at the minute, That might change in the next 24 hours."

BBC Scotland's Tom English has made his mind up as far as Sinclair's Celtic career is concerned, saying on Sportsound moments ago: "It's got to be curtains for Sinclair."

The transfer deadline for clubs in England's Premier League and Championship is tomorrow at 17:00 BST.

  10. 'The tie is pretty even'published at 18:41 British Summer Time 7 August 2019

    Cluj v Celtic (19:00)

Celtic manager Neil Lennon yesterday: "I don't really buy into Dan's comments. I don't know the budgets of both teams, but I do know it will be competitive. We come here in good form, Cluj are in good form, so I think the tie is pretty even.

"We have got a bit of momentum, we had a great result at the weekend. It will have no real relevance on Wednesday night, but psychologically it's good for the players to have a win and a performance like that going into such an important game.

"Cluj cross the ball early, I think they will be a threat at set plays as well. We have to be mentally strong and have good concentration."

  11. 'Hopefully we can keep pace with Celtic'published at 18:39 British Summer Time 7 August 2019

    Cluj v Celtic (19:00)

Cluj manager Dan Petrescu: "It is not going to be easy, but sometimes miracles could happen - even Leicester winning the league and even Unirea Urziceni winning the league and then beating Glasgow Rangers 4-1 away. I'm sure we need a perfect game in both legs.

"Our spirit is good. We have players of 34, 35, 36 years old who will start and it is not easy for them to play three games in a week. They have experience, they know how to play and hopefully they can keep pace with the young players of Celtic.

"Maybe Sarajevo and the team from Estonia are not good compared to Cluj, but still they are champions of their country and Celtic destroyed them in both games."

  12. Celtic: The journey so farpublished at 18:37 British Summer Time 7 August 2019

    Cluj v Celtic (19:00)

It was a tricky start for Celtic in this season's Champions League when they went a goal down against hosts FK Sarajevo but they fought back to win the first leg 3-1 and went on to triumph 5-2 on aggregate.

Nomme Kalju were next and Neil Lennon's side made short work of the tie, winning 5-0 at home and adding two more goals without reply last week in Estonia.

The Celtic team shows two changes from Saturday's 7-0 win over St Johnstone with Jozo Simunovic replacing the benched Nir Bitton in defence.

There is no place in the squad for weekend scorer Mikey Johnston as Lewis Morgan starts. Christopher Jullien and Leigh Griffiths are among the substitutes.

  15. Goal hungry Celtic in Romaniapublished at 18:30 British Summer Time 7 August 2019

    Cluj v Celtic (19:00)

Celtic's next obstacle in their pursuit of a Champions League group stage place is Romanian outfit Cluj.

Neil Lennon's side have scored 19 goals in five games in all competitions this season, including a 7-0 thrashing of St Johnstone on Saturday, and travel to face Dan Petrescu's side with confidence.

But Petrescu's men are on a seven-match unbeaten run and overcame a tricky test against Maccabi Tel Aviv to reach the third qualifying round.

    Team news coming up.
