Both sides looking to get off the mark today after losing starts to the league season last weekend. Accies were well beaten by Ross County and new signing Sam Stubbs is one of three players brought into the starting line-up by manager Brian Rice to try to improve the performance. Killie, on the other hand, were a little unfortunate not to pick up a point against Rangers. They’ve also brought in the returning Liam Millar - the only change from Sunday.

  4. 'My best still to come' - Griffithspublished at 14:29 British Summer Time 10 August 2019

    FT: Motherwell 2-5 Celtic

Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths tells BBC Sportsound: "It was very hot out there but the pitch was brilliant, slick. It took us 10-15 minutes to get going, but after that we controlled the game.

"Motherwell always make it difficult for you and we haven't won here in a while, but it just shows the character we have to bounce straight back from the opening goal. We didn't play as well as we could have, but still went in at half-time with the lead.

"I've still got a lot of work to do to get my fitness levels to where I want them. I'd like to think my best is still to come. Whether the manager brings another striker in is up to him but two strikers scored today and there are three of us hungry for that one spot."

  5. GREAT SAVE!published at 14:26 British Summer Time 10 August 2019

Scott Pittman almost grabs a second goal for the visitors as he receives the ball in the box, turns, skips beyond his marker and fires a shot towards goal from eight yards but Zander Clark pulls off an excellent save to parry it wide.

  6. Motherwell need to work on fitness - Robinsonpublished at 14:24 British Summer Time 10 August 2019

    FT: Motherwell 2-5 Celtic

Motherwell manager Stephen Robinson tells BBC Sportsound: "If you make individual errors like we did for four of the five goals then you're going to get punished.

"I thought we were outstanding in the first half with our pressing and tempo but we didn't have the fitness to keep up with Celtic in the second half, so we need to get the new boys up to speed.

"We're not going to be judged on competing with Celtic and if we press teams like we did in the first half, we will win more than we lose. I'll take the positives from the first half and look to build on that."

  7. Celtic 'outstanding' after sloppy start - Lennonpublished at 14:20 British Summer Time 10 August 2019

    FT: Motherwell 2-5 Celtic

Celtic manager Neil Lenonn tells BBC Sportsound: "I'm delighted. It was an outstanding team performance with some outstanding individual performances as well.

"My only criticism would be of the way we approached the game initially. In the first 15 minutes there were a few bad habits creeping in that we want to eradicate. We were inviting pressure we didn't need to.

"Once we solved that we were outstanding, especially to score five after the quick turnaround from Wednesday night, with five different scorers. Second half, we were magnificent. That's 12 goals in two league games - I can't ask for any more than that."

The ominous thing is Celtic were nowhere near their best today and still got five goals. As a goalscoring machine now they are lethal and have firepower coming out of their ears. That is deeply worrying for anyone who thinks they can live with them this season.

Tommy Wright has decided to shake things up after St Johnstone's sobering 7-0 defeat to Celtic, with three changes for today's clash with Livingston.

Central defender Wallace Duffy is dropped, along with Ross Callachan and Liam Craig in midfield. In their stead, Wright brings in Danny Swanson, Chris Kane and 18-year-old Alistair McCann.

Livingston stick with the same starting XI that earned a point at home to Motherwell last week.
