Chris Baldwin: Seriously what is the point of Dele Alli? Hasn’t done anything for over two years.

Paul: About time people woke up and realise how over-rated Dele Alli is. Another poor game from him and it happens too often. If he wasn't English he wouldn't be rated at all.

Olympiakos have given an excellent account of themselves. Whether or not it was dependent on how poor Tottenham have been at times, I don't know, but they've certainly looked capable of handling the ball and hurting Tottenham.

Olympiakos send on a player wearing number 97. Should be a three-point penalty.

    The best kind?

Winning away from home is not easy for anyone. Just ask Liverpool.

The fans are still well up, one of them seems to have found a Victorian policeman's whistle from somewhere.

My gf is Greek (from Athens) & she said when Olympiakos win in the big games (local derby/CL game) the metro line comes to a standstill from the fans singing & jumping inside. Mediterranean passion!

Pochettino is the new tinker man. I don't understand why he makes so many wholesale changes for each game. It just seems to totally confuse the players.

    Lee

Any reason Spurs are using two players to take corners? Utterly pointless and only making their attacking scenario weaker.

A draw would be a good point, I reckon. Olympiakos will give Bayern a game if they play this well.

I think Spurs will be delighted to walk away with a draw. If they can achieve that, with the way they're playing at the moment, I think it'll be a fantastic result.

A strange sub but good news for Tottenham fans as Mathieu Valbuena comes off for the hosts. He's been excellent.

Tanguy Ndombele has had a poor night, right from the off. He's been caught on the ball, made sloppy passes. I don't know what it is. His body language just doesn't look right to me, whether or not that's his style I don't know.

It's quite relaxed and lethargic at times, then he will show a burst of pace. But I can understand why Mauricio Pochettino needs to bring Sissoko on to inject some energy and pace into this Tottenham midfield.

Only left-back Ferland Mendy, who joined from Lyon, looks to have hit the ground running. Luka Jovic - who arrived from Eintracht Frankfurt, where he was scoring for fun - has not looked like he has the quality to be an automatic starter. At least not in the opinion of Zinedine Zidane, who has started him only once and then replaced him with midfielder Luka Modric after 68 minutes.

Real also signed some youngsters for big money - Eder Militao, 21, (£42.7m from Porto) and 18-year-old forward Rodrygo (£40.2m from Santos). The latter has been injured since pre-season, while the former has yet to feature.
