What a night of Europa League football. Arsenal came back from two down to get a point to top their group, Celtic lost in Romania, but they already had top spot.

Four second-half goals apiece from Manchester United and Wolves gave them convincing wins, with United going through top of their group and Wolves second in theirs.

It was a nervy night for Rangers but a 1-1 draw at Ibrox against Young Boys took Steven Gerrard's side into the last 16.

Five British teams were involved in the group phase. And all five of them are into the last 32.

Manchester United

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer talking to BT Sport:

"I told them to be more us [at half-time], be more Man Utd, I know it’s difficult for players when you change but in the second-half we just found a rhythm, made more passes forward, more runs forward, were pressing and got our goals."

On Mason Greenwood:

"He’s different class as a finisher, if there’s anything around the box you expect him to get a shot off and on target, he’s good at creating space for himself and right-foot, left-foot it doesn’t matter. I’m very pleased with his performance.

"He’s a different type to Wazza [Wayne Rooney] and the good thing about Mason is he is just going to look forward to Sunday. It’s natural for him to score goals it doesn’t matter what level it is."

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard speaking to BT Sport: "I'm very pleased that we will continue European football after Christmas. I think the boys deserved that after our first rounds from the first rounds of qualifying until now.

"I think we certainly deserve it. I don't think we were good tonight, especially in the second half.

"We went out with the intentions of winning the game. I thought we stopped doing what we were good at in the second half, which is either finding space or keeping the ball.

"It was wave after wave and it was direct. But credit to them, they never gave up. We didn't expect them to."

Former Man Utd striker Michael Owen speaking on BT Sport about the performance of 18-year-old Mason Greenwood: "Mason was a constant threat. He probably played for the penalty a little but it was definitely a penalty. I would have liked him to have stepped up actually and get his hat-trick but Juan Mata has not played in so long.

"You look for ability when they are really young but now it's all about the mental attitude. He has grown into his frame, he won't get much quicker now so it's all about what's going on between the ears. There are a few kids coming through but he is the one that could be Man Utd for a long, long time.

"He will naturally improve but he biggest thing that can go wrong is his mentality.If he gets cocky or big headed, but as long as he keeps going on this path at the right club that have nurtured so many youngsters, you would think all is in place. There is no question he will be a top player for a long time."

Manchester United

Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira, speaking to BT Sport: "The manager said to press like a team, press them more and be compacted. It worked out well.

"The youngsters have been playing well. Hopefully we can keep it up. Good teams are coming now and we have to see who we take next. We have to be prepared."

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed Manchester United two-goal hero Mason Greenwood will be excused an appearance in the club's FA Youth Cup game against Lincoln tomorrow night.

"I don’t think Lincoln need to worry about him," said the United boss. "I am not afraid of playing Mason in the Premier League."

Wolves

Wolves hat-trick hero Diogo Jota, speaking to BT Sport: "I think everyone that is on the bench wants to come on and make an impact, fortunately for me that impact was very good. I'm very happy with the result."

On scoring with first touch: "I think that was first time that happened to me! That is football and why we love this game."

On Wolves' form: "We are playing well and having good results and just want to keep going. Our main goal was to get through the group stage and we accomplished that. Now we keep going game by game."

Manchester United

Man Utd midfielder Juan Mata told BT Sport: "It feels good. I think the second half was very good. AZ were good in the first half and we didn’t have rhythm. We started the second half much better and we changed our shape a bit. We have scored four goals, we are through and it is a happy night."

On Mason Greenwood: "Every time he plays, he scores. In training, he might not touch the ball a lot but he is a finisher and a killer in the box. He is a nice kid and I'm very happy for him."

On his goal: "It's nice and hopefully I can start stepping up with more. I'm happy with the penalty but also the performance of the whole team. It’s been a good 10 days but it's another important game against Everton on Sunday."

The draw for the Europa League last 32 takes place at 12:00 GMT on Monday from Uefa's headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland (one hour after the Champions League draw).

There will be 16 seeded teams - each of the 12 group winners and the four teams with the best records from those that dropped down from the Champions League.

They will face one of the 16 unseeded teams - each of the 12 group runners-up and the four teams with the worse records from those in the Champions League.

You can't play another team from the same country in the next round.

Seeded: Ajax, Arsenal, Basaksehir, Basel, Benfica, Braga, Celtic, Espanyol, Gent, Inter Milan, LASK, Malmo, Manchester United, Porto, Red Bull Salzburg, Sevilla.

"Every time I watch him play he plays that way and I think he is a natural finisher. The goals he scores, I don't know what it is but he hits the ball so cleanly.I love watching him finish because he makes it easy. A natural.

With Rangers not winning their group, that means they could face Arsenal or Manchester United in the last 32.

Ajax, Red Bull Salzburg, Inter Milan and Benfica are another four of the 16 possible options.

By finishing second, one of the teams Wolves could now face are Celtic.

Rangers go through, but as runners-up of Group G.

They would've won the group had it not been for an 89th-minute Borna Barisic own goal.

Still, a great achievement from them to get through a really tough group.

Rangers have had a man sent off, they're drawing 1-1 in injury-time. Another Rangers goal and they win the group, another Young Boys goal and Rangers are out. So tense.

Braga guarantee themselves as the top side in Group K. They were 2-1 down and that would've put Wolves through as group winners.

But three goals in the last 18 minutes have seen them win the group.
