Linfield bow out of Europepublished at 19:15 British Summer Time 29 August 2019
Qarabag 2-1 Linfield
It's the end of the road for Linfield in Europe.
Having seen off B36 Torshavn and FK Sutjeska, they fall agonisingly short to Qarabag in the play-off stage.
Jaime Romero's sixth-minute strike left David Healy's side with an uphill challenge before Abdellah Zoubir struck an insurance goal with two minutes left.
Shayne Lavery scored again for the Blues to level the aggregate score but it was too little, too late on this occasion as the Belfast side bowed out in Baku on away goals.
The Irish Premiership champions won't be in the hat for Friday's Europa League group stage draw, but their season is far from over.
They can now refocus their energy on their title defence. They're scheduled to be back in action on Saturday, 7 September for a Belfast derby against Cliftonville at Solitude.
Thanks for joining us! Let's hope we have one or two Irish Premiership clubs in contention for a group stage spot again this time next year!
