    Qarabag 1-0 Linfield

Set-pieces are going to be huge for Linfield tonight, as they were last week.

They get their first corner of the night but Chris Casement's delivery is slightly too deep and goes beyond danger-man Mark Stafford at the far post.

    Qarabag 1-0 Linfield

Jaime Romero opens the scoring for Qarabag!

Terrible start for Linfield. Gueye lifts a deft pass over the Blues defence and Romero smashes his first-time effort past Ferguson at his near post.

Romero netted twice against Dundalk in this stadium and hasn't had to wait long to breach the Linfield defence.

    Qarabag 0-0 Linfield

Unsurprisingly, Qarabag have been on the ball since kick-off. Thankfully for Linfield, however, it's all been in front of the Blues defence. Nothing penetrative as of yet.

    The teams are out.

David Healy makes one change from last week's win as Stephen Fallon comes in to partner captain Jamie Mulgrew in the midfield engine room with Andrew Mitchell dropping to the bench.

There are quite a few changes to the Qarabag line-up. Faycal Rherras, who opened the scoring last week, drops to the bench, while Badavi Huseynov and Dani Quintana also miss out. Richard Almeida returns to their starting XI having missed last week's game through suspension.

Magaye Gueye starts up front after coming off the bench to coolly dispatch his stoppage-time penalty at Windsor.

  7. Blues 90 minutes from historypublished at 16:51 British Summer Time 29 August 2019

    Qarabag v Linfield

The waiting is over. What a night it could be for Linfield - and for Irish League football in general.

A week on from their 3-2 win over Qarabag at Windsor Park, the Blues try to complete the mission and progress to the Europa League group stage for the first time in the club's history.

Linfield boss David Healy has been typically measured in the build-up, repeatedly highlighting the size of the task facing his players in Baku this evening.

However, the odds had been heavily stacked against the Irish Premiership champions before the first leg last week, so we can excuse the Belfast club for dreaming of qualification.

Shayne Lavery was the hero in Belfast last week. Linfield will require a few more big-time performances from their players if they're to go into Friday's draw for the group stage.

Brace yourselves - it could be arguably the biggest night in Linfield's history.
