Reading v Fulham (20:00 BST)
Reading have picked up the new campaign where they left off last season.
The Royals are 20th after nine games, the same position which they finished 2018-19 in.
Jose Gomes' men are yet to win back-to-back games this season, and ended a three-match losing streak with a late equaliser at Swansea on Saturday.
Fulham, the visitors to the Madejski Stadium, will be looking to reignite their promotion challenge.
The Whites ended a four-match winless run at home to Wigan on Friday evening, but have not found Berkshire a happy hunting ground in recent years.
Reading have not lost in six league and play-off games at home to the west Londoners - a run stretching back to when both clubs were in the Premier League in 2008.
Wigan v Birmingham (19:45 BST)
Wigan Athletic have won just one of their past eight in the Championship, but currently sit 22nd - three points above the relegation zone.
That is largely thanks to Stoke and Huddersfield having rotten starts, and Barnsley not winning since the opening day.
However, the Latics are on a good run at home, having lost just one of their past 14 at the DW Stadium - with that defeat coming against Leeds United in August.
Paul Cook's side are the set-piece kings of the second tier, with five of their eight goals either coming from corners or free-kicks.
Birmingham have lost their past two games, going down 1-0 at home to Preston and losing 3-2 at Derby on Saturday, despite fighting back from 2-0 down.
Those defeats have seen Pep Clotet's men drop from eighth to 13th in the table.
Middlesbrough v Preston (19:45 BST)
It's been a patchy season for Middlesbrough so far.
New boss Jonathan Woodgate failed to win his first three games, then went four unbeaten as he picked up two victories.
However, the Teessiders have subsequently lost back-to-back games, suffering a 1-0 defeat at Cardiff and then a 4-1 reverse at home to Sheffield Wednesday.
Former England international Woodgate described his side's display against the Owls as "terrible", adding: "I can't expect the fans to come and pay to see performances like that."
The good news for Boro fans, is they are back at the Riverside already!
Visitors Preston North End are unbeaten in six, a run which has put the Lilywhites firmly in the play-off places.
Alex Neil's men were involved in a ding-dong 3-3 draw at home to Bristol City, netting two penalties in that match.
In fact, Preston are the spot-kick kings of the second tier, having scored five already this season - three more than any other side.
Hull v Sheff Wed (19:45 BST)
Two teams on unbeaten runs meet at the KCOM Stadium.
Hosts Hull City are unbeaten in four games - although they have drawn three of those matches.
However, the Tigers haven't kept a clean sheet in 10 Championship matches at home, and are winless in their past four on Humberside.
Sheffield Wednesday have gone three days without defeat and come into the match on the back of a 4-1 win at Middlesbrough on Saturday.
Steven Fletcher, with four goals in his past five league outings, misses out through injury for the Yorkshiremen.
Victory tonight will take Garry Monk's Owls into the play-off places.
Blackburn v Nottm Forest (19:45 BST)
Nottingham Forest are enjoying their start to the season under new boss Sabri Lamouchi.
The Tricky Trees are unbeaten in eight league games since a 2-1 defeat against West Brom on the opening day of the season, and could move to the top of the table if the Baggies slip up at Leeds tonight.
The Reds have beaten Swansea, Barnsley and Stoke in recent weeks and are now aiming to secure a run of four straight league wins for the first time since notching six in a row in March 2013.
Blackburn have been in solid form themselves, but slipped up at home against Luton Town on Saturday.
But, with two wins before that, Tony Mowbray will be aiming to avoid consecutive defeats at Ewood Park.
Stoke v Huddersfield (20:00 BST)
It wouldn't surprise me if a fan dressed as the Grim Reaper was spotted at Stoke City tonight.
David Moyes suffered that fate during his return to Everton as Manchester United manager in April 2014, and that proved to be the Scotsman's final game in charge.
Stoke have had a winless start to the campaign, but boss Nathan Jones is not concerned about the prospect of the sack.
"I know it's a precarious position but I've got no fear in losing my job," the 46-year-old told BBC Radio Stoke.
"Sooner or later, I imagine it will happen - there are not many managers who go through their career without losing their job.
"If I lose this job - I hope I don't - but if I do, I'll go back to the drawing board, learn from the experience and start again."
Stoke v Huddersfield (20:00 BST)
It's a real basement scrap at the Bet365 Stadium this evening.
Stoke City and Huddersfield Town are both winless in the league this season, with two points apiece.
The Terriers have won just once in the whole of 2019, and new boss Danny Cowley has a job on his hands to turn things around - although he ended their seven-match losing streak at home to Millwall on Saturday,
Potters manager Nathan Jones is feeling the heat himself, with just three victories in 29 Championship games to his name since taking charge in January.
He has made three changes to the side which were beaten by Nottingham Forest, with Adam Federici preferred to Jack Butland in goal.
Both clubs start the evening six points from safety, and the visitors also have another bad landmark they'll be looking to avoid.
Huddersfield could become just the third team in history to fail to win any of their opening 10 games in consecutive Football League campaigns after Norwich (1920-21 and 1921-22) and Southport (1975-76 and 1976-77).
Leeds v West Brom (19:45 BST)
Leeds United slipped off the top of the Championship table on Saturday as the Whites lost 1-0 at Charlton Athletic.
Marcelo Bielsa's side started the season with a five-match unbeaten run, but have now won just one of their past four league games.
The Yorkshire outfit are suffering a bit of a goal drought at home as well, having scored just three goals in their four Championship games at Elland Road so far in 2019-20.
West Brom are the team who replaced Leeds at the summit, courtesy of their 2-0 victory at 10-man QPR.
The Baggies are the final club still able to boast an unbeaten record in the second tier.
But Albion have never remained undefeated in their opening 10 games to a league campaign in their 141-year history.
Baggies lead the way
Here's how the top and bottom of the Championship looks heading into tonight's fixtures.
Unbeaten West Brom lead the way, with a one-point lead from Swansea (who are not in action until tomorrow) and Nottingham Forest.
At the bottom, the picture looks fairly bleak for Stoke City and Huddersfield.
It could be a season-defining night as those two meet in the Potteries.

Here's what we have on offer this evening.
Five games kick off at 19:45 BST, with two following a quarter of an hour later.

October has rolled around and, after tonight, we will be 10 games into the Championship season.
We've already had one managerial departure in the second tier, and we could be closer to another come full-time.
Stoke City face a huge match against fellow strugglers Huddersfield, and the pressure will be turned up on Potters boss Nathan Jones if his side lose again.
At the top, leaders West Brom face a test of their promotion credentials.
We'll have all the build-up and then every goal as it goes in from 19:45 BST.
