    And so ends another stellar day in the English Football League with plenty of movement at the top and bottom of the tables across the divisions.

    It's the international break next week, as we said, meaning that West Brom go top of the pile for the next two weeks. It's been a fine start for Slaven Bilic's side.

    From an eventful opener as Fulham and Charlton shared the points to a hectic day at the top of the Championship, it's been a cracker.

    • At the lower end of the table, Southend lose 3-1 to Gillingham - a ninth defeat in 11 games - and Shrewsbury beat Tranmere 1-0.

    Reading also go into the international break in the relegation zone following their 1-0 defeat at Bristol City.
