Pep Guardiola will be happy they have not conceded, they should be a 2-0 down and he can give them a rocket at half time.

Kyle Walker goes close at the end of the half with a 25-yard shot but Rui Patricio saves.

Wolves had a succession of throw-ins close to their own goal-line just now.

It was interesting to see how Manchester City penned the visitors in.

City had five players within 15 yards of the thrower, virtually in an arc. In the end, Wolves lost possession.

  5. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 14:43 British Summer Time 6 October 2019

    Arsenal 1-0 Bournemouth

Arsenal want a penalty as Nicolas Pepe goes down in the box, but the referee says no - and so do Team VAR.

End to end. Joao Cancelo gives away the ball and Wolves have a break. But Ederson comes flying out of his box and finds Sergio Aguero with a Hollywood ball on the right. Aguero's cross is over the bar though.

    It is building for City.

Wolves give the ball away in a dangerous area then City attack straight away.

David Silva had three options to pick and didn't find any.

It is coming but how much do City miss Kevin de Bruyne? With a well organised team like Wolves, you need that brilliance and magic that he brings.

They have so many talented players but De Bruyne is a cut above the rest.

    N'Golo Kante (40 mins)

Chelsea's two-goal lead is restored. Marcos Alonso flies down the left and crosses for N'Golo Kante. The French midfielder hits a shot from outside the box, which deflects off Saints captain Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg into the back of the net, leaving Angus Gunn no chance.

The last three games that Tammy Abraham has scored in the Premier League, he's ended up scoring another - two at Norwich, two at home to Sheffield United and three at Wolves.

Compare Abraham's goal stats to Rashford... one clearly improving, the other already peaked and under decline: Abraham been out on loan, developed and earned his spot and seemingly being coached properly... Rashford...!

These final 10 minutes have been MUCH better from Manchester City. Joao Cancelo's cross finds Sergio Aguero at the back post. He tries to head it across to Raheem Sterling for a tap-in, but Wolves get it away.

    Arsenal 1-0 Bournemouth

Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka attacks down the left and whips a cross in. Who would you want most for the ball to land to? That's right Calum Chambers. (If you're a Bournemouth fan that is). He hits his volley predictably over the bar.

Manchester City have found their shooting boots. Well in so much as they're shooting now. High and wide from Joao Cancelo.

Six of Southampton striker Danny Ings’ last seven Premier League goals have come against ‘big six’ opposition, including all three this season.

You have to credit Wolves, they have set up really well defensively.

They are forcing City to go long and then it is going onto the head of Ryan Bennett.

You usually see rhythm from City, pass, pass, pass, moving it quickly but that is not there.

Now City have their first shot on target. Good footwork by Raheem Sterling on the edge of the area and his drive is saved by Rui Patricio.

Manchester City have their first shot of the game (excluding blocked ones) as Ilkay Gundogan curls a 25-yard free-kick just wide. Not sure he'd be my first choice of free-kick taker for City.

  18. goal

GOAL - Southampton 1-2 Chelseapublished at 14:30 British Summer Time 6 October 2019

    Danny Ings (30 mins)

Suddenly the Saints are back in it. Yan Valery takes a throw-in and dances in between about five Chelsea defenders - most of whom should stop him. The Frenchman whips in a low pass to Danny Ings, who just gets there before defender Fikayo Tomori and turns it past Kepa.

    Man City 0-0 Wolves

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport at the Etihad Stadium

Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo has been having a real go at the nearside assistant referee and then fourth official Chris Kavanagh over the incident with Raul Jimenez just now.

Nuno clearly thinks Jimenez was clipped from behind by Fernandinho, causing him to fall and lose a shooting chance in the City box.
