Aston Villa 2-1 Brighton
Aston Villa DO find a winner and Brighton are out on their feet.
Of course Jack Grealish is at the heart of it, cutting in from the left and somehow squeezing a ball in to Matt Targett. The left-back is in oceans of space and he crashes it past Mat Ryan.
Aston Villa 1-1 Brighton
Powerful play from Keinan Davis so nearly brings a winner. He bulldozes his way through two Brighton defenders and unleashes a thunderous shot. Mat Ryan turns it away brilliantly.
Aston Villa 1-1 Brighton
Crucial from Lewis Dunk!
Brighton look tired in midfield and Jack Grealish profits, racing clear down the left. He beats Adam Webster and fires across the six-yard line only for Dunk to be in the right place to hammer away.

Adam Webster fails to clear his lines properly and the ball drops to Douglas Luiz.
He hits a searing shot which has Mat Ryan scrambling but it flies just past the far post.

Solly March picks up a booking for delaying Tyrone Mings taking a quick free-kick.

Nope, Matt Targett flops a disappointing free-kick over the bar.

This is promising for Aston Villa.
More twinkle-toed stuff from Jack Grealish earns Villa a free-kick on the edge of the box.

A big shout, more in hope than expectation, went up from the stands when John McGinn's shot cannoned in the back of Brighton defender Shane Duffy.
But the situation was quickly defused as Aston Villa supporters watched the replays being played at both ends of the ground.

That was a chance to break!
Solly March leads a charge of three-on-three for Brighton but his ball is too far in front of Dale Stephens and Heaton claims.
At the other end, Trezeguet skips past Adam Webster but his low pullback finds only a Brighton defender.
Aston Villa 1-1 Brighton
Neal Maupay has put in a shift for his side today.
He's off and Steven Alzate is on. Looks like Solly March is going up top for the last 10 minutes.
Aston Villa 1-1 Brighton
It's a hugely ambitious effort from Pascal Gross but I guess you can't blame him.
Spotting Tom Heaton off his line, he tries his luck from just inside the Villa half.
It flies well wide though.

Since Anwar El Ghazi blazed an early second-half chance over for Aston Villa, the momentum has shifted.
Even with a man disadvantage, Graham Potter’s Brighton side continue to sweep forward on the offensive at what has become a very subdued Villa Park.
The hosts appear to be living dangerously and the mood inside the stadium very much reflects the anxiety in the stands.
A goal would change that though.
Aston Villa 1-1 Brighton
Douglas Luiz comes on for Anwar El Ghazi and Wesley runs off to be replaced by Keinan Davis.
Aston Villa 1-1 Brighton
Wesley's got cramp.
The game's stopped. Strange one that.

The endangered Martin Montoya is taken off for Shane Duffy to take his place in the heart of Brighton's defence.
Adam Webster moves to right back. That's four centre halves in defence for Brighton.
Aston Villa 1-1 Brighton
Martin Montoya suddenly turns up at the other end as Neal Maupay and Pascal Gross again skilfully combine. He's got plenty of time but shins it into the ground and Tom Heaton collects.
Anwar El Ghazi then heads wide from Trezeguet's inviting cross.
Aston Villa 1-1 Brighton
Martin Montoya is really struggling down that left hand side and he's lucky not to pick up a second yellow card there.
Jack Grealish is far too quick for him, wriggles away from the Spaniard's desperate lunge and tees up John McGinn. His finish though is poor, high into the Villa fans behind the goal.

Trezeguet trots on to replace Conor Hourihane.

Neal Maupay picks up possession from Pascal Gross and drives at Bjorn Engels.
He works it onto his right foot but blasts well over from the edge of the box.
