That is it for our coverage of tonight's EFL action.

The teams at the top of the second tier haven't had much to shout about this evening, while Southend had a night to forget as they conceded seven goals at home.

New Shrimpers boss Sol Campbell has much to ponder after watching on from the stands.

If you're already itching for you next fix of football then do not despair, as we'll do it all again tomorrow - with five Championship games and three in League One.

Nottingham Forest will have the chance to move into the automatic promotion places, while there could be a slug-fest at the bottom as fellow strugglers Huddersfield and Middlesbrough meet.

    Join us then.

    Barnsley stay at foot

No changes in the bottom six, although a point for Barnsley brings them level with Stoke.

Reading move three points clear of the drop zone courtesy of their draw at QPR.

Huddersfield entertain fellow strugglers Middlesbrough tomorrow.

    Baggies stay top

That hard-earned point for West Brom keeps them two points clear of Leeds - who also drew at Preston.

The evening's big winners are Sheffield Wednesday, who move up to third following their 1-0 win over Stoke.

Nottingham Forest will go second if they beat Hull at the City Ground tomorrow night.

    West Brom 2-2 Barnsley

Bottom club Barnsley hang on for a point to deny the league leaders, but they'll be so disappointed having been 2-0 up.

The Tykes are now 12 league games without a win - they have not tasted victory since the first day of the campaign.

West Brom remain two points clear at the top of the table, but missed the chance to extend their lead over Leeds United to four points.

Barnsley had eight players booked, and will no doubt be hearing from the Football Association about that.

    West Brom 2-2 Barnsley

We are into five minutes of added time at The Hawthorns.

Barnsley striker Cauley Woodrow has been replaced, so there will be no hat-trick for him.

The Tykes have the ball in the Albion half at the moment.

    West Brom 2-2 Barnsley

The Tykes are feeling the heat now.

Two more quick-fire bookings for the visitors as Conor Chaplin and Cameron McGeehan see yellow for poor challenges.

That is seven yellow cards for Barnsley tonight.

    Sheff Wed 1-0 Stoke

Sheffield Wednesday take the three points thanks to Massimo Luongo's first-half goal.

The visitors, who had won their previous two games to climb off the bottom of the table, lost Peter Etebo, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Tom Edwards to injuries.

    Wednesday climb to third.

    Matheus Pereira (81 mins)

    The Baggies have their equaliser.

On-loan forward Matheus Pereira is left unmarked just inside the area to head in a cross from Conor Townsend from the left flank.

The ball went low but maybe Brad Collins could have done better with that one.

The Albion onslaught will continue as they search a winner, which would extend their lead at the top of the table to four points.

    West Brom 1-2 Barnsley

Still 10 minutes plus stoppages left at West Brom.

Charlie Austin has sent an effort wide from just inside the area for the hosts after some neat passing.

Tykes keeper Brad Collins has already been booked, so Barnsley fans can forget about any time-wasting.

    Preston 1-1 Leeds

    Eddie NketiahImage source, Rex Features

A game Leeds should have won, nearly lost and ended up drawing.

A dramatic end to the game sees Leeds desperately appealing for a penalty but they have to settle for a point at Deepdale.

Tom Barkhuizen put the hosts in front before Leeds sub Eddie Nketiah grabbed the leveller late on.

    Sheff Wed 1-0 Stoke

Stoke are a goal down and they're going to end the game a man down as Tom Edwards limps off the pitch in some discomfort.

The Potters had to take off Peter Etebo and Cameron Carter-Vickers in the first half because of injuries and used their third sub earlier this half.
