    Brighton 2-2 Everton

Lewis Dunk smacks the free-kick towards goal and Jordan Pickford punches it away. It deflects back into Pickford's hands off the legs of Leandro Trossard - I don't think he was expecting that to come to him.

Pickford arguably should have done better with the original clearance.

Tempers are starting to fray at the Amex.

Mason Holgate goes into the book for a lunging tackle on Neal Maupay and Brighton have a free-kick on the edge of the box.

    Alan Pardew
Former Southampton and West Ham manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

It is really a heart-breaking decision, every professional football player would tell you that’s not a penalty.

If that was shown on the big screen would have referee given the penalty?

    I don’t think so.

Easy as you like. Straight down the middle.

Brighton look to respond quickly and Aaron Connolly goes down in the box, and looks in some pain.

Replays show Michael Keane trod on the Brighton man's ankle - should that be a penalty?

    VAR is taking a look.

  12. goal

GOAL - Brighton 1-2 Evertonpublished at 74 mins

    Dominic Calvert-Lewin

    An inspired substitution.

A lovely composed finish from the left boot of Dominic Calvert-Lewin after the play was played through to him by Mason Holgate.

Brighton have around 15 minutes to react.

  13. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 16:31 British Summer Time 26 October 2019

Marco Silva makes a couple of changes.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Fabian Delph replace Alex Iwobi and Theo Walcott.

    Fresh legs needed.

Theo Walcott is in a bit of discomfort following a challenge from Dan Burn.

He's down on the turf after Burn clattered into him from behind. Boos as he eventually clambers to his feet.

  15. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 65 mins

And that is Pascal Gross' last play of the game.

He's substituted with Leandro Trossard coming on in his place.

  16. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 64 mins

    Brighton 1-1 Everton

Pascal Gross thought he had doubled Brighton's lead with his second of the day, but the offside flag is up!

A shame, as it was a really nice finish, touched in from Davy Propper's cross.

    Brighton 1-1 Everton

    Alan Pardew

There’s kind of a feeling that both teams got the hang of each other and somebody needs to break the mould, we need a bit of individual play maybe.

  18. Postpublished at 61 mins

    Brighton 1-1 Everton

Brighton are starting to find their feet a bit more after facing a lot of pressure early on in the second half.

That said, both sides are struggling to move play out of the middle with chances few and far between.

Something needs to liven this one up, and quickly.

  19. Postpublished at 56 mins

    Brighton 1-1 Everton

It's Richarlison who is down, seeming to indicate he was struck on the head by a wayward leg or boot.

He gingerly gets up and seems fine to continue.

  20. Postpublished at 55 mins

    Brighton 1-1 Everton

More good play in and around the area from Theo Walcott sees Everton earn another corner. Walcott has been a real menace for the Toffees today.

Lucas Digne is the man to take the corner again, but as it's whipped in, a team-mate goes down in the box.

The ball comes out to Alex Iwobi who smashes it cleanly towards goal on the half volley, but it's straight into Mat Ryan's hands.
