Gabriel Jesus was stripped and doing stretches in the technical area when the whistle went for half-time... I think it is safe to say we will be seeing him shortly.

The story of an eventful first half can (almost) be told in shots alone. City have had 13 but have not managed one on target, although nine of their efforts have been blocked.

That stat sums up the way Southampton have been defending their lead, by throwing their bodies at the ball.

City have had 14 shots to Southampton's three.

However, all three of the Saints' efforts have been on target - none of City's have.
