Jurgen Klopp speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "If you look from the outside a lot of people from the Premier League will think [we should win], but we know how difficult it will be today.

"That's why we have made changes, to give us legs because at this moment we need that."

Ex Liverpool and Leeds winger on BBC Final Score

"It's frustrating as players when you see such a talent like Dele Alli not perform at the level you know he can.

"He's perhaps tried too hard, when he plays simple, one or two touch and holds the ball up he is so strong and he can get in the box and that's when he gets his goals.

"He gets in the box every time and when he does that he will scores. [Jose] Mourinho will have been telling him to just do what you do."

Watford have already had more head coaches than wins this season as they search for their third boss of the campaign.

Hayden Mullins has stepped up from the Under-23 side to look after things and would like the job on a more permanent basis.

The visit of Crystal Palace brings back memories of happier times for Hornets fans last season - their team won all three meetings 2-1, including an FA Cup quarter-final.

Roy Hodgson's Palace will fancy this one, though, following a midweek win over Bournemouth that has taken them up to seventh in the table.

  7. A warm welcomepublished at 14:54 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2019

Watford v Crystal Palace (15:00 GMT)

Nigel Pearson has just been introduced to the Watford crowd. Said hello to a few managers down the years, have these lot. They've give a healthy round of applause, though.

Pearson is not in charge today, but he will be when the league's bottom club *checks notes* go to Liverpool. Yeah. Good luck, Nige.

There won't be too many present for Burnley's first game at Tottenham's new stadium who were also there the last time the Clarets won at White Hart Lane.

They'll remember if they were, because the Milk (League) Cup quarter-final in January 1983 had it all going on - have a search online.

Burnley manager and club legend Brian Miller was sacked on the morning of the game, with Frank Casper taking charge to oversee a 4-1 win from being 1-0 down, thanks to two Billy Hamilton goals and two Graham Roberts OWN goals.

To stay on the theme, Burnley's last success in a league game at Spurs in 1974 was also thanks to home players, as Mike England and John Pratt both scored for both teams!

    Jonathan Pearce

So many people are whispering that Liverpool can still be caught; "They'll crumple under the pressure of chasing their first title in 30 years." Why? It's a club record 32 games unbeaten.

They've dropped just two points - the best record in Europe. They can destroy teams or grind out results. No, they haven't had a clean sheet in 13 games.

They will give opponents a chance. But they're always likely to outscore them.

The gap will tighten at the top, though. Even though this looks a banker - Bournemouth, beaten four in a row, one of 10 who could go down, hopeless in this fixture - it might just be the day Liverpool slip up.

    But the title is theirs.

  11. 'I'm not surprised Klopp has made changes'published at 14:43 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2019

    Bournemouth v Liverpool (15:00 GMT)

    Tony Pulis
Former Stoke and West Brom manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

The depth of Liverpool's squad is extraordinary. He's made seven changes. There is a reason they can compete week in, week out. There are players in his teams that can play week in, week out without a problem but there will be some players who need a break every now and again. It does not surprise me that Jurgen Klopp has made changes. They have so many games coming up.

  13. Team news - Dier in for Spurs, Burnley without Barnespublished at 14:37 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2019

    Tottenham v Burnley (15:00 GMT)

Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho makes just one change in response to Wednesday's defeat at Manchester United, midfielder Eric Dier coming in for fellow England international Harry Winks.

Winks does not even make the bench and neither does Tanguy Ndombele, who replaced him as a second-half substitute at Old Trafford.

Christian Eriksen, however, is sat there.

Ashley Barnes had a "strong chance" of starting after an injury-restricted cameo role against Manchester City, according to Burnley manager Sean Dyche.

Yet the Clarets striker misses out completely on the 18-man squad.

Right-back Matt Lowton, midfielder Robbie Brady and striker Jay Rodriguez start as Dyche makes three changes from the 4-1 thrashing by City on Tuesday, with the injured Phil Bardsley, Aaron Lennon and Danny Drinkwater dropping out.

    Everton

Everton forward Theo Walcott to BT Sport: "Duncan has come in and the club is his heart. That was the Everton way, we play for each other and Dominic was immense. We wanted intensity and pressure and to get in behind them. We put them under pressure and made them make mistakes. Duncan said go out and play your game and enjoy it. As much as it sounds a cliche, that is what we did.

Everton forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin to BT Sport: "It was a massive game for us and I have a very close relationship with Duncan. He has stuck by me for the three years I have known him. The most important thing was to go out and give 100%."

Things change so quickly in football. You can be slumped in your seat after getting your behind handed to you by your fiercest rival on the Wednesday and dancing to Fat Boy Slim after a big win the Saturday.

On the flip side, Chelsea came here off the back of a win and some good transfer-related news, but this was a huge step backwards.

Jorginho and Fikayo Tomori might want to make sure their boots are clean and studs tightened for the next game.
